ok so tell the people in a bump be like "remember that bump we had last week of the 2008 schedule." (Show it again) Then say that it was a test to see who would make a thread about it and like expose me and reveal my name and adult swim related info like im on 12 oz mous dvds fanart, on the shotglass thing, won a hoodie, cmon i got a pretty good record then you can tell me off like i know you will.
You're not a person unless you're acting!

Dear [AS], I like these bumps. They're quiet, and give me time to think about stuff. Like, what the F*CK is 12 Oz Mouse about? EastCoastPrincess

Dear [AS] Just felt like letting you know, these bumps were really the only reason I joined this message board. You were gonna be my ticket to 5 seconds of fame. It's been 2 years, and I have yet to see my name in white text on any of your bumps. You make me sad. EastCoastPrincess

Dear Adult Swim, Fact is... I feel that I'm one of the BIGGEST FANS that [Adult Swim] has! I believe that they exist FOR people like me! I've been watching since the VERY BEGINNING, I have over 200 adult swim tapes, I have the special sweater from the contest they only made 250 of, and I'm an insomniac, or moreso, I'm a cat-owl/nightwalker and since my walls are SUPER thin, I rely on adult swim to KEEP ME SANE!! Not only that, but it's true that, whatever the reason may be, I've loved EVERY SINGLE THING, Comedy AND Anime, that Adult Swim has ever aired!! And they've also introduced me to anime, which prior to adult swim, was something that was completely foreign to me, to which I THANK THEM EVERY DAY, because I used Adult Swim and Anime to help keep me CLEAN off of drugs when I was hardcore into them!! Adding ALL of these things up, and considering the fact that it's COMMON KNOWLEDGE that the Nielson Boxes aren't a very accurate way to gather ratings, or more precisely, to determine who is watching what, AND the fact that adult swim USED to air MUCH, MUCH more anime, which was supposedly ALWAYS going to be a part of their line up... (It's JUST WHO ADULT SWIM IS! Comedy AND Anime) and the fact that yes, HALF of their fanbase likes either BOTH or just the anime, I would say that it's really, really crappy that they're now taking anime off the weekday line up, since I'M THE ONE WATCHING THE ENTIRE BLOCK EVERY NIGHT!!

(One Last Thing, I promise Dear Adult Swim, Just tell me this... Is the loss of the anime from the weekday schedule permanent?!? Cuz you said that "the numbers showed that it's time for 'a change'"... Does that mean that one day you might change back?!?

Adult Swim IS their own Network!! I remember watching the night that they announced it! It was back in 2006... For all purposes, adult swim became recognized as, indeed, their own network!!

Dear [adult swim], You've lost it now. From 24.5 hours/week of anime... TO 13 HOURS/WEEK! Why should I watch you other than Fridays & Saturdays?! BTW, since you need New Comedy... BAD... Tell Loren Bouchard to make LOTS MORE LUCY ASAP! The Daughter of the Devil, that is. In closing, you can shove Shnitzel up your ** rabble **! JACKASSES!! [billyarnie]

It's nice that you have the daily schedule with episodes available on the [AS] home page. Now you just have to realize that in the Pacific Standard Region, [AS] starts at 8pm M-Sat, not 11pm; and 7pm on Sun, not 10pm. See that you fix this...and provide a link from the episode title to the episode description. I will bring more of your failures to your attention next month.
Don't keep banging your head against the wall, just because it feels good when you stop.

Pardon moi, Madamoiselle Ladragonnoire... Is it Madamoiselle? Perhaps you have forgotten, le [adult swim] airs at 11 PM PDT Mon-Sat & at 10:00 PM PDT Sundays. There are deux satellites (that's 2 for us 'Mericans) & the Eastern one broadcasts to the Eastern & Central time zones. There is a Western one that covers the Pacific & Mountain time zones & the times are 3 hours behind le East Coast. 8 PM PDT is Cartoon Network's programming that originally showed at 8 PM EDT. BTW, EDT = Eastern Daylight Time & PDT = Pacific Daylight Time.

Dear Nintendo I would like to personally thank you for releasing Super Smash Brothers Brawl. It is a great game and you just happened to release it when Adult Swim decided to take nearly all their anime off on weeknights. Now I will have something else to entertain me. Again, thanks.

Merci for attempting to explain, mais Je ne sais what you said. All I know is that Dish Network starts [AS] starts at 8pm M-Sat and 7pm on Sun. [AS] Then repeats the programming 3 hours later M-Sat and 3.5 hours later on Sun. P.S. How dare you read my private letters to [AS]!!!!!!! P.P.S. I give you props for realizing my screen name contains French1 Not many people pick up on that.

Dear Adult Swim, I'm sure you don't mean to insult viewer's intelligence with your comedy shows. I'm sure it wasn't your intention to air shows to a select and limited demographic~ Such as Squidbillies for the poor American white trash, Boondocks for those gangsters popping caps in tooshies in the in the ghetto. Nor Family Guy- for the adverage disfunctional family, or its rip off version titled as American Dad. While its honorable you wish to provide entertainment to those with some social defects (ie emo rich kids whose only choice in color is restricted to black, nails, clothing, etc.) with the show Metalocalypse. It simply doesn't please the rest of us with an adverage social standing and a somewhat larger color palette. Also, highly admirable you wish to entertain those with mental defects (ie stoners, drunks, viewers that were dropped on the head as a child) with your shows~ 12oz. Mouse, Venture Bros. Frisky Dingo, Saul of the Mole Men, Sealab 2021, ATHF, Harvey Birdman, Space Ghost, Stroker and Hoop, etc. That too simply doesn't please the rest of us with and IQ higher than 2. With that being said, it isn't my intention to point out the sizely amount of flaws in your current lineup but to direct your attention & efforts to a somewhat grander scheme. Instead of simply entertaining those less fortunate, let us instead attempt to improve their ways of life by removing these shows. Dear IYfan_girl, Let us look at the grander scheme of things. If you werent even a slightly bit interested in these shows, why do you know them? And if you want entertainment for people who are stuck up A**holes then go watch MTV. Word.

Oh, I'm so sorry Renegade.. apparently you fall under the cateogory of viewers I mentioned in my previous post. I witnessed the mention earlier about ball sacks frozen to totem poles and thought this was a free speech forum, does that only apply to the people that feel the same as you do? As for knowing of the shows, a lil secret~ they come on my tv too. I like to try everything once, and my previous >> opinion << still stands. I'm not sure I understand your reference that MTV is for the naughty word you used. However, I don't view MTV myself and can't confirm or deny your accusation.

For your information, I am not a stoner or a drunk nor was I dropped on my head as a child. Nor am I an "emo rich kid". I have more of a color palette than black, tho' being a New Yorker, I do wear a lot of black. I am of average social standing, don't have social defects and am a older fan. Of Metalocalypse, Venture Brothers, and Stroker& Hoop. If you don't see the source material these shows draw on, you must be younger and a limited experience. Do not make assumsutions for people beyond yourself. If you don't like a show, you don't like a show. Pity you have such a limited sense of humor. When you grow and get some experience in the world, come back and we'll talk.

Metalocalypse- originally inspired by the band GWAR I think that means god what awful racket, srsly. Venture Bros - Jonny Quest Stroker and Hoop- Starsky and Hutch Source material? Doesn't really help your claim when the sources for these current shows were based around crap, does it? Not sure how old you think I'am, nor am I going to say but I was around when the 4th season of Starsky and Hutch was airing. Virginia born and raised and I'll have to admit all I know of the band GWAR is that they were all over the news for people dying at their concerts. After some odd amount of "incidents" people were forced to start signing waivers to even enter their concerts. Watch a death metal band at the cost of your life? sounds awfully emo to me. I have a diverse group of friends, mostly due to an online game I played a few years back. I know the groups that watch these so-called comedy shows. Met a good many of them, and as I suspected~ freaks in-game are just as much freaks outside. For fact that I met them, for the fact that I know them. I know my opinion is atleast half true as I could hardly account for the rest of the beings that deem any of these shows humorous, worth the worship, or the effort to defend.

Dear Adult Swim, I was reading the newspaper this morning, and near my hometown, a 33-year-old woman spent TWO YEARS sitting on the toilet!! Her boyfriend called police stating that his girlfriend hadn't left the bathroom for 2 years now. Her skin actually grew OVER the toilet seat!! Paramedics had to pry the toilet seat off of the lady with a cro-bar! ...The toilet seat accompanied the woman to the hospital.

Not too bad on Venture Brothers and Stroke & Hoop. But S & H wasn't just Starsky & Hutch, but all cop/PI shows. And the shows aren't crap. YOU just don't like them. Both Starsky & Hutch and Johnny Quest had their fans. I did watch S & H, but I was more a fan of Johnny Quest. And as to Metalocalypse and GWAR-- WRONG!!!!!!! If it was, Dethklok would have costumes. Both Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha are metal fans and pulled Dethklok from bands like Cannibal Corpse, Metallica, King Diamond, etc. Matter of fact, Brendon and Tommy were doing a stand-up routine that had Cannibal Corpse doing Glengary Glen Ross. Jackson Public (yeah, Venture Brothers) suggested they do a show based on that. The men mean it more as a commentary on how we treat celebrities rather that a comment on metal bands. Seeing as Brendon writes all the music, figured he might was well write in a genre he likes rather than something he doesn't. A fan will parody something better than a non-fan. "Watch a death metal band at the cost of your life? sounds awfully emo to me."???? If that is your view, you have no idea about either death metal or emo. Your opinion is just that, your opinion. I'm an older (in my 50's) fan of Metalocalypse and Venture Brothers. I have well rounded interests outside of them.

Dear [adult swim],
Dear IYfan_girl, I know you're getting a kick out of everyone replying to your post out of hatred. I'd love it just as much, if not more so. But your post tells everyone that you're actually in one of two categories: 1) You actually watch all of these shows, which is why you can easily and casually list them with accurate and witty descriptions, or 2) You've only seen a handful of the crap shows, and are generalizing the rest without experience. First off, 12 Oz Mouse is the most complex and well-developed story written thusfar in the 21st century. Here's a sliver from the Wiki intro: "The plot revolves around a bizarre conspiracy which is constantly building on itself and taking seemingly nonsensical twists and turns. At times the narrative becomes obfuscated or nonlinear, but it simultaneously reveals connections that hint at an objective story. Clues and secret messages are hidden throughout each episode, including the credits. Creator Matt Maiellaro has indicated that 12 oz. Mouse was influenced in part by surrealistic films and the 1940's French playwright style "Le Théâtre de l'Absurde", such as those by director and four-time Academy Award nominee David Lynch." And Frisky Dingo is the smartest social commentary on what's going on in America right now. Hands down. That's why the show gets corporate support from Haggar and big-name voices like Killer Mike. I'm a chemical engineer, and I spend my whole day writing process models and simulation programs on Simulink and ChemCad. When I get home, the ONLY TV left on Earth that grasps ANY vestige of intelligence or that requires analytical thinking from an educated audience is the [adult swim] line-up. And that's why it's the only thing I'll watch. Broadcast TV is nothing short of sickening. But I'm wondering what's your suggested alternative to [as] shows? -Dr_Derek

*peace please both of ya, continue the "good" fight in Rants or maybe Babbling or maybe even in Culture but please remember that the Bump Team really does read this thread for bumpy goodness and anything other than just the "Dear [as]" stuffs make it harder for them. So please only straight "Dear [as]" stuffs in here, for the sanity of the Bump Team whose sanity is usually questionable anyway...* Dear [adult swim] The bad news - I'm still sick with that super flu thing. The good news - I never ended up on a ventilator because I would have bitten anyone who tried that with me anyway. The bad news - there's nothing to watch on tv anymore. Change it. katt_goddess

You're right Kim, I apologize I'll end my responding with this post. Hol this link is for you, I remembered mention of the association with GWAR and Metalocalypse and decided to look it up here what I found http://www.answers.com/topic/metalocalypse?cat=entertainment The base of your argument seems to revolve around my post being nothing more than my opinion. Did I ever deny that it wasn't simply my opinion? Did I post ratings to attempt to prove my opinion as right, or true? Ofcourse its my opinion~ Why you felt the consistant need to point that out is beyond what I can comprehend, especially since you've shared your opinion as well. I work in advertising, and its an unfortunate job for me to have to know people and what appeals to them. Things like I said in my original post, I never get to say throughout my typical day. Thats not to say in any way they're true, or actual. Its just nice to be blunt about MY opinion. I found my post quite funny, "dropped on the head as a child" its funny. No one but you took that as an 11th commandment. I suppose I apologize to you as well. If by my having some small amount of fun and stating an opinion in contrast to yours, has upset you so. Derek if I had any suggestions it would be just to stick with Adult Swim's lineup, more often than not I haven't found anything else of interest that comes on that late at night. Unless you like movies, HBO airs some ok ones every once in awhile.

Being a cantankerous old swimmer, I usually only come here to shake my fist and complain about you William's St. boys. You might remember that I lead the obviously unsuccessful, Would You Slow Down On The ** rabble ** Bumps So I Can Read Them, Fer Christsakes Campaign. I also spearheaded the equally unsuccessful Coalition To Let Us Cuss On The Boards, It's What Adults Do, You Bastards. And of course the one that spawned a small FBI investigation, Senior Swimmers For The Outright Killing Of Tim And Eric And Their Awful Little Show.
But tonight I logged in to compliment you on your stunningly solid new weeknight lineup. Ya done good, for once. Of course, why the hell you bozos didn't do this years ago is beyond me!

You're basing your information about Metalocalypse on something from Wikipedia? Wikipedia is full of misinformation left by anybody. My information comes from interviews with Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha. Right from the source, the co-creators themselves. I've read alot of what has been in Wikipedia about the show and use to try to correct the information left there. Gave up after awhile. Just not worth. No, "dropped on the head as a child", considering the number of abused child cases going through the courts and hitting the papers in New York lately, is not funny. And if I don't like a show, I simply either don't say anything about it or state that I don't like a show. I don't turn it into an chance to attack the show's fans. That is what I objected to your post.

Dear Adult Swim, I met this couple today at a friend's house and after a while they said I sound just like Seth Green, but not when he's doing a 'voice;' they said when he's playing a mellow part like in 'Without a Paddle' or 'Idle Hands.' After I said "Well, I guess that's a compliment" they both shared a confirming laugh and commented 'yeah he does.' I would have never guessed.
Sig retired.
