aww i was just joshin'. I'm actually 22 and grew up on that noise. While i love both shows dearly, I don't think they're very similar, except for the animation. I'd say ren and stimply was last decades looney tunes, what with the same characters being thrown into classic tales and random weird situations, and super jail! is just gory and awesome more along the lines of ATHF, story wise. THe art is much improved from crappy computer cut outs or what ever sort of cheatin they do.

Thank göd. I was starting to worry that I was the only twenty something who posted here. I'd look like a pedo if I spent too much time on an internet forum populated exclusively by minors. You're right that it's a relatively flimsy comparison, but they both stand out as shows that are dedicated to the craft of animation. Reminds me more of the Liquid Television cartoons, though. Modern American animation owes a ton to Ren and Stimpy. It completely revised the way most cartoons are made and pushed the envelope of what a "kids' show" could get away with. Read this and learn something. Kids today, no respect.
