I know that for a fact......When ATHF made it's debut, it took a long time for everyone to warm up to it, just because it was different....

I loved ATHF since the first episode (Ballonenstien) and I have all three seasons on DVD....I can't wait for season four

Hah. I caught the second run of this when I got back from a friends house...I had just consumed copious amounts of alcohol and perhaps a few other things. So, this show became 10 times funnier to me. I love the exchange between him and the business man in the taxi.

That was classic. Mice driving drunk cracks my **bleep** up. I think the characters are funny, the humor is very dry, I dig that. I really enjoy the show. I feel bad that people can't be more openminded about it. They see the animation and just go "OMFG, THISE SH-0W IZ SO EFFING GAYZ0RZ! ITZ LEIK A KINDEGARDENER WR0T-E IT!" That **bleep**. This show is really cool. I'm excited to see more episodes and find out what else they can do with it.

I vote for a rehab episode.

I'm not sure how I feel about this show. On the one hand I like the zany seemingly random aspect of the show, and on the other hand I'm repelled by those exact same things. I'll need to see more episodes before I can make a concrete decision either way. It's just so... soo..

I acutally have to agree to that. I mean can you think of ONE new show that came out lately.....that has NOT BEEN BASHED TO BLOODY HELL.

The only one I can think of at the moment that was new and got a more than positive reaction was Robot Chicken, and even that is getting bashed now.

Agreed--that's really the only show that carries that sort of "plot." Let's hope AS doesn't get that kind of publicity.

I haven't watched this in awhile, so kind of rediscovering it.  Which is awesome.

I don't remember it being this straight up funny.  I remember loving it for its strange dialogue pacing and slow dreamy quality.  As well as the general look etc.  But I don't remember the dialogue was that straight up funny just on its own.

Also forgot that Rhoda has a Perfect Hair Forever script printed on him in faded letters.

I like how this show is a concerto of cheapness, paranoic intellectualism, and that certain brand of adolescent humor.

like that "ima rob a bank" out of nowhere type adolescent storytelling/humor acts in concert with the stuff like the script appearing on Rhoda, wo man's voice coming out of Fitz, etc, seemingly using intentional knocks on its own sparse technical style/low budget as a source for jokes, and then combined with the whole theme that there is some strange theme underlying it all.  It's like the perfect combination of elements that nobody had sumbled upon before or something.

Somehow it manages to be very common and very unique all at once.  The overarcing concepts are very common/accessible, but how they actually work in combination is very complex.

You can go as deep as you want into the mouse and still come away entertained.

Not only that, but you can come back later and go deeper and have a whole different experience.

In many ways, it's just the perfect show.

Episode Summary:
Mouse Fitzgerald gets hired. Then he does something.

Episode Synopsis:
The pilot, aired in June, was not well recieved among the majority of ASMBers. There were a few people who admitted that they liked the randomness of the show, but they were well out numbered by the amount of people who joined the ASMB just to say how bad the show was. This episode is a reairing of that episode, and we shall see how many people have changed their opinion from June to today.
