I was talking to duzi the other day about this but I thought I'd make a thread about it.
So I was rewatching the anime FLCL the other day, and suddenly I realized that there are some similarities between FLCL and 12 Oz. Mouse. FLCL is an action-comedy, and on the surface appears random and incoherent. Until, of course, you actually pay attention to what happeens in the show. Then the plot and the purpose of FLCL is revealed. This is a lot like 12 Oz. Mouse. Obviously there are differences: they unravel their plots in very different ways, and of course there's a stark difference in animation.
No wonder ozMo and FLCL are two of my favorite AS shows.
