Hello Mousinites. Mouseketeers.
I've been watching a LOT of Mouse lately. I can't put down the bottle, man, I just keep going to the fridge to pull out a hand and a cold phone.
Anyway, to the meat of my post:
One of the parts of 12 Oz. Mouse that was totally lost on me was why Pronto stole the Skillet-shaped "animal chain" (as it was called by Shark) to resurrect Amalockh. In the scene where Amalockh crawls out of his grave, it appears as if Pronto trades the animal chain to Amalockh in exchange for a treasure chest. As we all know, Amalockh is greatly angered by this and devours Pronto. But I could never understand why this occurs.
Also note: when Fitz is climbing his clothes closet, at the very top there is a Skillet-shaped locket. My theory is that the "animal chain" that was delivered by Pronto was some kind of fake, and that the true "animal chain" was the Skillet locket in Fitz's clothes closet. There was really no further elaboration on this in the show, as far as I can tell.
Of course there's probably no way of ever knowing for sure, but I was wondering if other Mouse fans had thoughts or insight on Pronto or Amalockh's motives here.
