Wow. This stings. We're losing one of the primary creative architects of the block. Perhaps the most defining creative force of [adult swim]. Is there a more iconic [adult swim] show than Aqua Teen Hunger Force? Maybe Space Ghost. And here's a head writer of both series. Leaving.
Which brings me to 12 Oz. Mouse, one of the most creatively uncompromising pieces of audio/visual media to ever grace my precious, precious TV. It was different. It was violent. It was cryptic. It had corn dogs. Never before had I seen a show make such an instrumental use of corn dogs. Sometimes the show delighted me with its offbeat charms. Sometimes it infuriated me with its opacity. It always yielded a reaction. That's provocation. That's entertainment at its most successful. That's emotion. 12 Oz. Mouse evoked my emotions. I'm rambling.
In conclusion, thank you. Thank you for the years of surreal entertainment. It's been an experience like few, if any, I've had.
