i seen the older episodes a while back when he takes that box guy in an airplane and stuff and the one episode where he goes to this place where there is corndogs growing out of the ground and that guy with fire coming out of his head and long fingers is playing a guitar.

and now the dvd is going on sale but my question is wtf is the show about?

12 oz Mouse is kind of like pulp fiction, but with a different set of characters.

If you look closely each 12 oz. character paralells a main character from pulp fiction.

It's about a bank-robbing mouse being stuck in a holographic, cardboard city.  Haunted by memories of the past, he rallies off-the-wall friends to try and break out of a cycle.

The whole show takes place in the time span of a minute.

It's more fun to figure it out by yourself.

But in a nutshell, it's a surrealistic mindfvck centered around a mouse and his efforts to make sense of, and ultimately escape from, an imaginary world and the group conspiring to keep him trapped in that world, for purposes unknown.

But I saw Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, ATHF, Robot Chicken, and Metalocalypse DVDs for rent at the video store I go to. So there's no doubt 12 Oz. Mouse will be there too.

Eh, not necessarily. OzMo is amazing and that store should be credited for carrying that many [as] DVDs in the first place, but, unless they've been carrying SGC2Cv4, then none of those shows are Williams Street exclusive, like OzMo is. ATHF, Robot Chicken, and Metalocalypse all have a very strong fanbase (friggin Robot Chicken) and thus make sense to have there. Space Ghost has a strong following (not necessarily as big as the others' but certainly devoted) and is just that weird brand of humor that stores touting Indie movies or something proudly would love to get their hands on. Anyway, point is, I'd be slightly surprised if the store got OzMo.

Now imagine it in a cartoon form where the military scientists are placing unwilling subjects in a halucinatory simulation to test the effects of psychotropic drugs on it's subjects and how it effects them in certain scenarios. Then imagine one of the test subjects that has a stronger will than most and begins regaining memories of his past before being abducted and forced to take part in this project and fights back...  you have the visionary briliance that is Ozmo.

Or if all you do is get high as hell and watch it to laugh... it's about a drunk mouse, a talking eyeball, a stoned cop and a no eyed square guy.

It's about seeing how many fanbois will bend over backwards to convince people that the latest piece of [as] neurotic-talk-comedy tripe is really high art that most of just don't 'get' because we aren't 'smart enough' to 'laugh' at things that 'aren't funny' etc etc etc.

(Oddly enough this also seems to be the premise of TGTTM, Awesome Show, Gabriel, Lucy and every other piece of garbage that has come out of Williams St. in the last several years. When they find a theme they sure do stick with it.)
