I was just talking about this with someone last night. In 2009, there was a stretch when I didn't come here much at all, and I thought my days here were over. But I came back. They always come back......

I think thats very true. I'm pretty sure I was gone almost all of '06 or '07. Just left the place and didnt come back for a while. It'll be a long time yet before I leave for good - IF that even happens. I'll switch accounts but will be around.

This kinda ties into why the rank would be fun. It points out how long you've been here and gets ya thinking about the place and the people.

While we're reflecting, 2009 was a time for me where I didn't think I had a purpose for being here. I thought the Adult Swim block was in a slump, and it was sort of a time where HELPeRs were in a funk wondering what to do, because the admins' original idea for HELPeRs never got off the ground.

So the time off really allowed me to reboot, figure out what I wanted to do, and sort of reinvent my presence here to continue to have fun posting. There were also a few shows that caught my attention again, so there's that aspect, too. But since then, I've been about as invested as I've ever been here, so I think the break was exactly what I needed.

This would probably help me notice my Boardiversary a lot easier. o.O

I missed my 3rd that recently passed and didn't even notice it pass, completely lost track of it...then again not like the rank would show up on me now.  

But yeah, cool idea, it's been suggested a few times before, along with Birthday ranks, but it would be cool to impliment for the entire board wide community, despite the little bumps that would come from trying to make it work.

I think the problem with boardiversary ranks is the need to program the number of minutes for each year.  Come to think of it, the gimmick ranks SwimCount and SwimBinary are programmed that way.  So it can be done, the decision is: how many years should it cover?  I can see something like 25 years being a problem.

That's true, plus you have to think about, if this is a yearly thing, there might be quite a few that would carry that rank in a matter of a day to day basis, that's a lot of rank changing.
