Now, I know this has been a popular topic for a while. I know everyone complains about it here on the site. And I know it's not going away anytime soon due to Turner's iron fist and whatnot.
But I'll speak from a technical standpoint. I know we're not going to get rid of the word filter. So could we invest in a smarter one, if not here on the site, then in the Bump Builder? One that can detect context rather than just sequences of letters? So that I can say Japanese? Or titular? Or damnation? I haven't mentioned it before now, but it REALLY causes problems in trying to make a bump that's totally clean to begin with. And unlike the boards here, there's no means of getting around it in the builder.
The first time I used the Bump Builder, the censor bleeped the "ching" in "watching."
That was also the last time I used the Bump Builder.

It's similar to the name registration filter that won't let you register Titanic or things like that. First three letters are caught by the filter and the name is kicked.
Bump builder is probably connected to the same filter.

I suspect it is something akin to this.
I'm kind of curious though, you'd think that the bump builder would be filtered with the list from Standards and Practices,
which would seem to be a bit more flexible than what is indicated in the OP. After all, Tom says bitches all the time on Toonami.

It's not about TV airing - S&P are much more flexible with that. The website allows people 13 and older to register, though, not 18 and older, so they're stricter about it. =/
Again: I understand why the filter's there (though I can't say I agree with it). I'm just asking for a smarter one.
If the bumps are aired on television and contain any questionable language, they scribble it out, they don't replace the word(s) with symbols.
