This is the new error reporting thread.

We currently have a bug list from the last error thread, but if you are STILL seeing errors that can be REPEATEDLY re-created....please post them here.

NOTE: if something weird happened.....then you refreshed....or blinked.....or burped.....or got up....came back...and it was ok......that's NOT a bug.

Here's the criteria for a well-formed error-report:

1) Browser, its version, and your OS (e.g. Mac OSX, Windows Vista, Ubuntu)

2) Steps to re-create the error (what you clicked and typed to get the error.....this is a good point to stop and consider whether to post or not...cause if you can't do it yourself, we probably won't be able to either)

If your post doesn't contain BOTH of the above crieria, your post is off-topic and will be ignored.......or, at best, snarked at...then discarded*.

*If you're posting a suggested solution to a properly formatted error report.....that is ok.

**If you're posting just to say "me too".....or "not me too" that is NOT ok......so sayeth DumpTruck.

Alignment in the Graphic Editor is borked.

So is bold [and likely italic, et al]

unless you type something first, highlight it and then chose bold [or whatever].

Otherwise it automatically goes back to basic

when you start typing.

And while I'm typing this aligned center,

it's going to error out, 'remove invalid html'

and push everything back to left.

The Quick reply sometimes takes me to Regular Reply, the little Eye icon to the left of the Threads sometimes appear in words and not an icon, posts appear underneath the Users....like directly underneath, threads sometimes show up as links to that thread, it's whack, yo.

It sounds like your pages stop loading before they are complete.  Have you ever run any line diagnostics on your network connection?  This, of course, assumes that you have done all the typical stuff like clearing cache, etc.

Videos don't play under Ubuntu with 64bit flash. My flash version is  10,3,162,29. 

It looks like the site is using an older version of jquery.swfobject that doesn't properly parse the version string for this flash player.

Specifically, the javascript is trying to use a regexp on Plugin.description that fails to match in my case:

My Plugin.description (i.e. navigator.plugins["Shockwave Flash"].description) is "Shockwave Flash 10.3 d162"

and the regexp being run is /^[A-Za-z\s]*?(\d+)[\.|,](\d+)(?:\s+r|,)(\d+)/

Notice how this regexp won't propery match the "d162" part of my version string. 

This bug has been fixed in jquery.swfobject for quite some time. You could either upgrade that plugin or change the regexp to

something like this:

 /^[A-Za-z\s]*?(\d+)[\.|,](\d+)(?:\s+[rd]|,)(\d+)/

There's alot of things I can't see/do all of the sudden on Google Chrome. I don't know what happened but suddenly there are alot of things that I can't see such as the toolbar in the Reply page and I can't see anyone's Custom Icons. Also, whenever I click on the Quick Reply button, it takes me to the Reply page. However, this isn't a problem on Internet Explorer. Any idea on what this might be?

The Inuyasha board page refuses to finish loading.  Using FF 3.6.9 on Win XP with SP3.  This doesn't seem to happen with this board's page and it has only been happening for all day today.  The page load indicator goes to about 95-98% loaded and just stalls.  The spinning communication indicator just keeps going for at least 15 minutes and the "Done" message never appears, nor does the page call time out.

Do I have to post the browser i'm using if it's working in the browser in my [as] album, but not anywhere else on the site?

I've been encountering an error. I change the font color before typing and then I type and it's still white and then have to click the font color icon for it to change the color. Of course when I come here to report it it didn't do it.

I was using it as my icon, and another user alerted me that it had "triangle-fied" - it is seen by everyone else as a white icon with a gray triangle with a tinge of yellow on the inside.

This is the second image that I've had this happen to on this account. I deleted the other one because I didn't really want it there anyway.

Also, here is real bug.

A similar thing happened to the last custom icon I uploaded. I had been using it for about a month when people started telling me that it had been deleted. I can still see it in my gallery (and so can mods, apparently), but if I try to choose it as my avatar I get an error message.

Something happened on the boards today that mucked up all the links (or most of them).  All the links to photobucket that I posted this morning didn't work this afternoon, but they did when I posted them.

Now, the link to hulu in the Inuyasha banner is all messed up, too.  When I click it, it takes me to

but the correct link is

http://www.hulu.com/inuyasha-the-final-act

Somehow the %EF%BB%BF got added to the end of the URL name.   I know this link worked last night.  What gives?

When I quote Luuv or Bast [and maybe other users, but I don't quote/notice], using the HTML editor, their line breaks get doubled up. All the <p's stay intact, but there's also actual carriage returns between them. So if I don't do something, the size of the post can double. Quoted again, it all doubles again. Etc.

<p></p> turns into

<p>

</p>

Browser: Firefox 3.6.18. Windows 7. Go quote Luuv while using the HTML editor.

DumpTruck, on the page source, towards the bottom, there's a script Humbug and I put together:

See the negative lookahead regex (?!<p>) in the window.load? Put that same expression into the three click() functions. That should prevent the Rich Text editor from messing up the line breaks..I think...regular expressions make my brain sad.

I really rarely ever notice it. I knew it was WYSIWYG editor related. But it seemed odd that I only noticed it with the mods usually. Maybe everybody else I quote actually uses the HTML editor anyway.
