It pins the thread to the top of the page so even if it dies and falls off the front page, you can still find it right away.

The admins, mods, and helpers can float a thread and it's floated for everybody. When a user floats a thread, it's just for them.

 Be sure to use the boards to get rid of the subscriptions, and not the e-mail that [as] sends you.

If you use that email to remove yourself from getting them, it bans you, and you look like a nub when

Only if both particles were wearing heavy-duty pit-stick and not Axe body spray while passing through the wormhole. Nothing repels more than BO.

Mods swish their bansticks through the neo-ethers and cause screenname confinements within a black-n-white environment with random spurts of b*tching. Now that's not quantum chromodynamic confinement anomaly, don't know what is.
