I'm definitely with you on the opinion that there isn't one year better than the other. I do think people make the boards, but if certain people leave it's not going to kill the place. I've found that there are a lot of new, really awesome users every year - not just in a general sense, but in talking about specific people too. There are definite additions to the community that are noticed.
I do disagree about the folders... somewhat. Mostly I just want Games to stay as it's own thing. There's truth to diversity keeping a folder alive and strong, but it can also be smothering. Before all the splitting I never felt it was easy to talk about games, it just always seemed like news or politic threads pushed everything away. It's a decently active folder on it's own too, Games that is. I think some of the slower folders could be merged back into their parent folders. Like some of the action or comedy folders that are really slow could go back into AD or CD. Nothing wrong with that, I don't think.
I'm with ya on that one too. Life is all about change. Best way to deal with it is to just go with it. Sometimes change won't be in your benefit or to your liking and other times it will be.
Mods are butt faced glue sniffers! I think that's something everyone can agree on. And they do a terrible job. At everything. They should all be fired. Why are they even earning money when they don't do anything. Really!
Maybe we should make posts about advertising for the boards in the bump thread? Might help if a few people ask about it.
