also, i can watch free videos, but only through firefox for some reason. IE wont load free videos ( i'm not sure if it ever could) and now all of the sudden the gold page (when using IE) gives me some update your flash player popup which i've now done twice, restarted my computer and the message still shows up. and i dont remember seeing that a few days ago.

 i'm sure the problem is on my end, i just can't figure out what it is. ghosts maybe?

* i just noticed that flash is also **noel** up on every site i visit with IE which i think started happening after i tried to update it, so that might be fuuuuuudgeed. but firefox is still playing everything just dandily so im not really worried about it, unless you think that it might have something to do with my not being able to use ASG

It could be something in script handling or your entire computer profile got borked somehow.  As an experiment, you can create another Windows account on your PC and see if you still have that problem.

just tried logging in on a guest account, same story. i'll dig out the old frakenputer tomorrow and give that a try. thanks again Dox

I just tried it.  There is definitely something in the scripting that is not letting you log in to your cable provider.  I was finally able to log in to mine, after 4 tries and checking what scripts couldn't run.  However, when I got the episode set up, all it gave me was a blank screen with the message"Transferring data" for 15 minutes.

You have to make sure that Active Scripting and JavaScript are both enabled for this site.  For the best instructions on how to do that for your browser, type in "enable javascript" (without the quotes) in the Help file Search feature for that browser.  The correct instructions should come up in the results.

i followed youre instructions everything seems to have already been enabled as far as java goes but couldnt find anything on active scripting through the help menu, just took me to advanced options for java

Depending on your browser, there should be a check box, or some choices, that will turn active scripting on.  It's easy in Firefox because there is usually a simple check box.  Internet Explorer is a lot more complicated.

i really havent fuuuuuudgeed with my settings. theyre all default as far as i'm aware and i checked all the java settings as per your instructions but i think they were in working order before. also i have very few plug ins all of which i've turned off at this point. just tried logging in again, still redirects me to the xfinity log in (which i know works because i purposefully entered the wrong info just to see if it would take me back to the [as] page anyway, and it gives me an incorrect password scolding instead) and then back to the video i was trying to watch where the select your cable or satellite providor comes up again only this time (and everytime after) selecting comcast just reloads the same [as] page and brings up the same select your cable or satellite providor popup.
