The main thing with drug discussion is that it not instruct or encourage. IE, tell people how or where to make or obtain drugs, or seemingly be there just to encourage illegal/illicit behavior.
That's mostly where the ban type level of stuff comes in.
But basically any conversation on the board that mentions illegal/illicit type activities runs the risk of being moved off board. That doesn't mean, like a political discussion about legalization of weed, or discussions of that nature, aren't okay.
It just means, welcome to a corporate message board. Which I think by now is something we should all be used to.
Also that the board is open to 13+, which the lower end of that age range can be something of a dangerous time to be introduced to conversations about drug use just in general.
So there are good reasons I think, beyond just the "corporate board" type excuse, as to why we monitor for discussion that might instruct or encourage illegal/illicit activity.
So, hope you guys can understand at least to some degree why we gotta do what we gotta do sometimes moderation-wise.
As with any ban situation, if the banned user has any specific issues beyond the general policy issues addressed here, hopefully they can work those out with their banning mod. But always best to try to actually participate in the sense of - get your points across without emotional baggage if possible, and actually listen to what your moderator is saying.
The goal should be being heard. But not being heard in the sense of how much noise you can make, or how mad you can be, but rather being heard in the sense of what you actually need to get across that might inform the situational context for the moderator.
