That means, since I've been here for eight years, seven years' worth of my posts are now no longer readily accessible to me. Remind me again, who thinks this is a good idea? Would it really kill Lithium to give us our full trackers back?

But that's a good question, would love to look back at some of my older post just to go back to when I first started. Still I can't complain now, I don't like look at the past now.

But yeah, would be nice to have a fully functional tracker AND search system.

Agreed.  If the search system worked, losing the tracker after 300 pages wouldn't be half bad.  I could always fill in on the search.

I figure that lithium sacrificed indexing for all the trackers in order to provide some of the other functionality, like Image Gallery, kudos, and tags.

I don't use my tracker and rarely (3x a year) use the search.

I do use bookmarks, tags, and floats though.  They replace the tracker and the search.

There was another user in IB who said the same thing about not using his tracker. I use my tracker constantly. That's how I keep track of folks replying to my posts. I guess I'm surprised that there are several people who don't use it at all.

I depend on my tracker otherwise I wouldn't be here all the time
