Sometimes. It depends on what you are searching for. I think most of the problems with the search aren't search-related, it's just people are searching for posts that got eaten by Lithium.

cuz unless u use advanced search i dont think it works

k so u put a word in the advanced search

then u wait 4the list 2come up

THEN after the list comes up u choose the date range or wtvr other things u want that are listed on the left side

Searching used to be easier. You could just click on Advanced Search and go right there and put all of your options in at once. Now you have to do a search, then wait for it to load, then make it go to Advanced Search, then wait for it to load, then tell it to go by date, then wait for it to load.

I also heard it won't search back more than like three years. But that might not be true now.

But yay for searching!

I don't think it is the search that doesn't go back, but maybe the tracker doesn't go all the way back. I can't be sure of either because I can get results from 2003 in the search and my tracker goes back to 2004 (which is about right for me).

Yeah it used to be a lot easier and it really doesn't find that many threads.

I have tried searching for past thread sin IB and I think it only goes back to 08 for me.

I can type in exact authors and titles of threads I have floated and the search does not acknowledge that they exist in any way.
