A message from Carl Brutanununanunalalewski

[ Edited ]

(as Carl): On the last two days of July I took a break from porn to watch VH1 Classic celebrate MTV's 30th Anniversary, as a reminder of how awesome that channel was before it went to sh-t!  I was there in Jersey on August 1st of '81 having just gotten free cable from my cousin Terry 2 days before so I could tune in at midnight to see a man on the moon & video killing the radio star, I also remember having phone sex as Styx were rockin' the paradise, YEAAHH-HA-HA-HEYYYYYYY, those were good times.  But when they stopped showing hair metal, I started watching porn 24/7.  I'd rather watch some broad recieving double-ana1 than see a bounch of morons with fake tans!!!!  So happy 30th MTV, for delivering the best ten years of my life before $crewin' up the next 20 with a buncha poopoo!!!!

...what?

When your life's a chain of troubles,
And your dreams all broken bubbles,
While your woes recur in doubles,
Simply pause, and smile a while.
I'm crying! Because I wanted you to see the full range... of my emotions!

No, I get it... Carl, being that guy, would have totally been there (albiet with an illegal hookup, no doubt) to see the premeir of the music changing phenomena that was supposed to be MTV... However, thirty years down the road, Carl, like so many others, have found that promise unfulfilled, and it is because of such unfulfilled dreams that Carl turned to excessive indulgence of pornagraphic mediums. Had MTV truly rocked like they were supposed to, Carl might still have beautiful flowing locks and a wife with some kids, but thanks to the Real World and Madonna, Carl is the downtrodden husk of a man you see every week night at 12:30/1:15 EST and Sundays at 11:45 EST.

So thanks MTV, we couldn't have had such great laughs if you hadn't **beast** so hard.

I am aware Madonna is not the one responsible for "Video Killed" but the point remains the same.

Carl would also stop watching MTV in the '90's since he hates grunge & gets pissed when Beavis & Butthead say bad things about '80's hair metal bands.

VH1 Classic is likely to play the 1976 promotional video for Boston's "More Than a Feeling" on two video shows, "Classic Rock Fest" (full title for "Rock Fest") & "Metal Mania" (all-day marathon this Wednesday)
