The thing I never understood about this show was the decision to make your main character a walking, talking, and gun wielding buttocks. Did Assy have to be an a.ss for the show to work, or could he have been a regular character like everyone else? I mean, really? An a.ss for a main character. Yeah, that was a brilliant creative choice on the part of the creators.
I always thought the show would've been one of William Street's most popular shows had they not made Assy an a.ss. Nothing really weird or surreal about the show if you change your main character. Oh well. I won't be watching.

"It was at that moment that I realised comedy is a dangerous business. If people find something funny you're OK. But the moment you do something that's meant to be funny and someone doesn't find it funny, they become angry. It's almost as if they resent the fact that you tried to make them laugh and failed. Nobody comes out of a mediocre performance of Hamlet seething with rage because it didn't make them cry. But just listen to people coming out of a comedy that didn't make them laugh." -Terry Jones
