I admit that I want to see "the Last Airbender" as well, but because of Shyamalan's past failures, I'm going into it with some reservations.

I didn't go into "Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time" expecting the worse. I figured I was gonna enjoy it, and I did. In fact, I like it a great deal. I mean it was as good as it could've been considering it was based on a video game, and movies based on video games, with the exception of the Tomb Raider movies, were somewhat deplorable.
But because this one's an M. Night Shyamalan film, I'm gonna go in with some major reservations, and rightly so.
In other news, "Knight and Day" looks like a commercial flop so far.

Then on that day, we wouldn't have gotten along, especially since it was my birthday, May 28. (That's when the movie was released into theaters. That's also the day I went to see it.)
Oh, well. Can't win 'em all.
And I agree with you on Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Super Mario Bros. was just campy, but it did have Dennis Hopper as Koopa, so that one isn't bad either.

haha John Leguizamo said him and Bob Hoskins were wasted throughout the filming of that entire movie, and that it was the biggest regrets of their careers.
i'm assuming Dennis Hopper was on something heavy during the shooting, too.
cause i mean.. it's dennis hopper... and he rules.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Leguizamo was telling the truth about the both of them.
And yeah, Hopper rules, even in death. By the way, he played a genocidal maniac-type gangster(?) in the first season of 24.

Who the hell is the AV club?
Self Righteous morons are usually the people who are movie critics and they are part of The Onion, so that doubles up the douche. But it was a stupid "me too" japanese looking show for a kid's network. I honestly can't see how this movie matters to anyone...

I mean, anyone who knows film critics knows that Ebert gives some scathing reviews. I'm pretty sure there's a whole book dedicated to his most savage examples.

I saw Jonah Hex as well, so I sort of feel compelled to see something that compares to it. But I am one of the few people who kind of enjoyed Jonah Hex because I felt it was cheesy enough to pass.
I know what you mean. I felt that way out stuff like Cannibal: The Musical and Dragonball Evolution. There not good movies, but there fun in some ways.
The thing about Airbeender is that its completely devoid of any fun. Everything talks in a almost monotone like voice and you have no connection to the characters.
It's awful
