So I went to a Chinese buffet for dinner, and started wondering if I was supporting human trafficking. Now many people know that workers in places like Asian massage pallor are basically slaves who were promised the good life in the west and then forced to live and work in those places. But many people don't know that sometimes workers in restaurants are in the same boat.

So am I a evil person for eating yummy food while these people suffer? Maybe...but it's their own fault for making such yummy orange chicken.
Discuss your love of Chinese food and rather or not it's worth supporting this horrible abuse of human rights.

Near where I live in the Chinese buffets i have on more than 1 occasion seen Mexicans/latino workers doing the kitchen work. 10 to 1 they're illegal. Am I supporting slave labor by eating @ establishments that have undocumented labor? I don't think so.
Buy a t-shirt @ Walmart? Chances are it was made @ a sweat shop in Asia.
Where do u draw the line? Eventually u have to live.

eh I was only being half serious, if my comment about it being their fault for making yummy orange chicken didn't tip you off.
It's just kind of funny that when people think of human trafficking they only think of the sex trade without realizing the rest of this stuff is out there. Now I'm not saying the sex trade is ok because this other stuff is going on. It's not.

Right?
Like the case where that rich family enslaved that one woman for like six years.

First of all, most of the time the food is garbage, secondly, you don't control corrupt people. Besides it may be worse in China...

You mixed these up, but generally. Uhhh, you *could* see it that way.
You're not really supporting any of it because you have no control over where the money goes. You just want your gas, your groceries and your daimonds. Most of these items, you are unable to live without.
