Police will barge into your house, commit crime, and get off free.

It's written somewhere about the mistakes ones in power will make.. I think it's an American document or something.

If they start operating in ways that violate government policy or their assigned tasks, if it is a regulation agency and they are overly friendly/cozy with the objects of their regulations or their decision making becomes arbitrary.

A republic you say? Did you ever? I grew up with it being known as "democracy"

Federal oversteps state and state oversteps federal laws quite often, especially now with sb510 and higher costs, federal regulations are always being overlooked and that in a way is an abuse of power.

A republic is a form of government in which the people, or some significant portion of them, have supreme control over the government and where offices of state are elected or chosen by elected people.[1][2]

See? I was right, I have never lived in a Republic.

It all boils down to the question of profit vs. loss in the very end.

One line, pretty much explains human behavior and actions, where is my grant money?

It's still pretty nice though, stay tuned for a few years and you will see the change and obvious abuse of power if you haven't seen it first hand yet.
