Those hot dogs look like they're better quality than the wretched #### I usually buy but I'm not about to pay the prices they charge for those franks, just not worth it.
Dunno if they're kosher or not.

The idea behind the kosher food restrictions is to keep people healthy.
That said, I've never had any 'hot dogs' that felt healthy, kosher or no. They all seem to be tubes of low quality crap meat that can't be sold as-is because it's crap and no one would buy it unless it were ground up into some semi-unrecognizable pulp o' crap.
Buy fresh!

It depends on the person and whether they've chosen to "keep Kosher".
Fun Fact - it used to be true, though I'm not sure if it still is - if you're on a flight that serves a meal, requesting a Kosher meal usually got you better food.

Not totally. There were all sorts of restrictions, including that you are not to drink milk while eating beef.
The logic, as it was explained to me was that you are not only depriving the calf of it's mother, but of the milk the calf would drink.
Long term it makes sense - you'd want the calf to grow and replace the mother, so depriving it of the milk to do so would be counter productive.

Kosher or otherwise, I like Hebrew National hot dogs because they don't include sugar, dextrose or high fructose corn syrup. Stuff like that doesn't belong in any meat product. It spoils the flavor.

It's the overdose of paprika that kills the flavor. ![]()

It's prepared in proximity to shellfish, so it's totally not. So called "kosher sushi" is basically tuna and salmon. No shrimp, scallops, not even squid or octopus.
No, uni, cause it has a shell.
And no mackerel cause it's not a Kosher fish for some reason, something about the gills or dorsal fins.
And definitely not crab. So kosher sushi actually really svcks.
