Wow, members of Congress actually know what it's like to live in the real world. I'm stunned.
My hopes are that this will point them in the right direction when coming up with a replacement for Obamacare. But then, I've been known to be foolishly optimistic.

In fact, if there's ever any change on any issuse at a Congressional level I think its only because
its impacted a Congress person or Representative in a personal way...
otherwise it's just noise to them.... (maybe not always true, but with the tough stagnant issues anyway)

After enacting House Bill 87, a law designed to drive illegal immigrants out of Georgia, state officials appear shocked to discover that HB 87 is, well, driving a lot of illegal immigrants out of Georgia.
It might be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
Thanks to the resulting labor shortage, Georgia farmers have been forced to leave millions of dollars’ worth of blueberries, onions, melons and other crops unharvested and rotting in the fields. It has also put state officials into something of a panic at the damage they’ve done to Georgia’s largest industry.
Barely a month ago, you might recall, Gov. Nathan Deal welcomed the TV cameras into his office as he proudly signed HB 87 into law. Two weeks later, with farmers howling, a scrambling Deal ordered a hasty investigation into the impact of the law he had just signed, as if all this had come as quite a surprise to him.

Yup. They should also get pay-cuts.

I remember when that GOP scumbag from Maryland was demanding his taxpayer provided benefits last year or in 2009....
People like that should be stripped of their benefits. Wants to get benefits off of my dime but can't take none off his own.

One of the Ohio Republicans who pushed a state law to toughen voter ID restrictions to “prevent fraud” because there’s no reason why “citizens wouldn’t have a driver’s license” would himself lose the right to vote under the law because his license may be revoked for an Indiana DUI.

Once upon a time in a land far away, a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle. The frog hopped into the princess' lap and said: Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper young prince that I am, and then, my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and feel forever grateful doing so. That night, as the princess dined sumptuously on a repast of lightly sautéed frogs legs seasoned in a wine and onion cream sauce she chuckled to herself and thought: I don't f*cking think so..

So then is it okay if I put a Palin billboard up by your house?
I don't know anything about the church in question, but putting up a billboard like that on a church's property is disrespectful. This country is about our ability to express differing opinions with each other in a civil manner. Not constantly trying to poke the other guy in the ribs.
Too bad so many people seem to have forgotten about that.

So, Florida govenor Rick Scott thinks all welfare recipents are duggies, so he gets a new requirement to test all people getting welfare for drugs, with the stipulation being if the test is positive, the person has to pay for the cost of the test, and it the test is negative, the test is paid for by the state.
Well, boys and girls, I bet you can figure out how that turned out!![]()

So you're against drug testing for those who receive benefits from taxpayers?

I've already made my stance on stripping the political class of all their benefits perfectly clear, so don't try to dodge the question.
Do you feel it's wrong for welfare recipients to be drug tested?
