It's from Super. She has a nice sex scene in it.

Well, anyone can take any picture. It's just that they don't.

Er, you don't.

pretty awesome, imo. Good stuff.
Whats the minimum one could spend on a camera and expect to have something come out as decent as that? Just curious. I would like to start taking pictures of stuff as well.
No, you really can't do that.

You have a gift.

The best ones are the piano, the tree branch, and the city shot... and my very favorite is that one with the telephone wires and sunset (sunrise?). You have a good sense for composition and the colors are supreme.

Well, I shoot with the Canon 5D Mk II, which is a very high maintenance digital camera. I've heard the Nikon D3100 with Nikon’s 35mm f/1.8G lens is the best digital camera to start out with if you want to take really crisp photos.

The thing about digital cameras is that it's really hard to make effects such capturing a stony brook with running blurry water to show motion or leaving the aperature open to make light trails. I miss the film on which Kodak used to develop pictures, the film had silver in it.

I like your pov but you have to learn to adjust your camera to get the effect you're trying to go for.  Try learing the rule of 3rd's.

I mainly just run in Auto Mode because I haven't gotten into the habit of really exploring the camera. I do change the ISO for obvious lighting reasons, which vary depending on the photo. I usually just run in 300 under normal lighting.

Thanks! I actually took the city one with my cell phone and photoshopped it.

I've noticed. I'm still trying to figure the camera out.

How much would I end up paying for that. I can't seem to find a price. It looks like maybe the price is around 499 O_O but, presumably I could find one on ebay for cheaper.

Hrm. I suppose when I have money and am ready to start, I will have to shop around. Unfortunately for the time being I don't have any money, so it's just a day dream for now.

Do you use an editing program to get additional effects, or is most of it done with the camera settings? Do you use editing programs at all?

How do you choose your shots? I am always out and about seeing things and thinking "man, i'd really like to take a picture of that, it looks cool". Though, sometimes it is something spontaneous, and I wonder if it's difficult to get certain shots if you have to be fast. Though, I imagine you'd go out with that shot in mind, and have your camera set up to take the picture beforehand.

No, you really can't do that.

I'm not sure, it depends on where you buy it from. It's definitely going to be over $300, though. You need the lens too, which will add to that price.

I do use editing to mess with the temperature and saturation of the photos. I use the DPS program that comes with the camera when I shoot images in RAW format, but if I'm just going for a quick edit on a naturally nice looking JPEG, I'll just run it through picnik.

Nah, the spontaneous aspect is what you want in a photo, I think-- especially when it comes to photographing people. Just take your camera out and take pictures and more pictures.

Well, you should get out of the habit of using Auto and start shooting in Aperture Priority.

One of the most basic skills in photography is managing depth of field:  for instance, on the seventh photo from the top (the street scene) comes doesn't have nearly enough depth to convey the length of the street.   It goes hand-in-hand with how you frame a shot.   In that photo, if you were to move up the street about ten paces (eliminating the car), set the f-stop somewhere in the middle and focused on the light post with the banners, you could then situate the banner on the left center side of the frame and use the opposite side of the street to convey something of meander into the darkness at the end of the street.

First things first, though.  You aren't using the right ISO in your low-light pictures.  In the first picture, the ivory keys are completely washed out which suggests that ISO is too high and you would be better served increasing exposure with the camera on tripod and using something a little less sensitive.

a bit too grainy on some of them, and some other ones look kinda washed out, but, meh, good enough.

Well,

F*ck.

And the street scene was taken on my phone. I didn't have my camera with me at the time, but I felt like taking a picture of it.
