Are we really ever to old to like Adult Swim?

It's cartoons with gore, and cursing coupled with asinine, and unfunny comedy........Plus a lot of FOX primetime shows.

So yes, once you're 16 you should probably grow out of it.............I did not.

Kaitlyn brought a wolf for me to fight, and refused to speak to me until I'd bested it in battle.
I did so, easily. Because there are three things that I'm the t!ts at: Barbecuing, Mega Man 2 and finding lupine pressure points.
I thought we'd mack a little after that, but she just laugh-cried manically over the wolf corpse until her face turned purple. Also, she was driving an Aztek and that's literally my only deal breaker.

That is odd why would they call it Adult Swim if its not for people over the age of 16?

Oh, the channel itself is supposedly geared to the 18-34 demographic, but it's content is sophomoric, and childish at best......That's why I eat it up.

Adult swim: yes.

Anything that they air and haven't created themselves: no.

I would like to point out how unfair it seems for your concept of right and wrong to be something which you feel you should enforce upon others.

Only if you dont have satellite to catch the kicka@@ anime channels elsewhere....then meh......here is where you are.

Once upon a time in a land far away, a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle. The frog hopped into the princess' lap and said: Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper young prince that I am, and then, my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and feel forever grateful doing so. That night, as the princess dined sumptuously on a repast of lightly sautéed frogs legs seasoned in a wine and onion cream sauce she chuckled to herself and thought: I don't f*cking think so..

I hope not.

maybe it's like pot.  One day you'll have to give it up because your old lungs can't hack it anymore.

Grow out of it into what? Reading? Watching retarded cop dramas? Maybe go outside and do a little jogging then come back inside and put bacon grease on my ham sandwich? Good shows don't seem to have an age limit...

I like Venture Bros., ATHF, Robot Chicken (sometimes, not this season so far) and I'm above the average age for viewers/members of this message board, but I find these shows (and some of the members of this site) amusing.

It's not so much that good shows have an age limit, as much as it is generational gaps having different thoughts as to what are good shows to begin with.

What kind of generation wants to expose themselves to over acting drama idiots instead of laughing is what I'd like to know. The first rule of drama: Everything matters SO MUCH!!!!! Stupid as hell...

That's true.  Old people don't give a crap about anything anymore.  Hearing's gone and hair's plugging up your ear.  Eyesight's shot from all those years of watching videos games and porn without blinking.  That's why they're so obstinant.  yeeeap.  gittin' old svcks.

I don't know too many old people(over 50) that smoke weed.  I don't live in San Francisco. dang hippie.

There are a few old tokers but most old people don't want to get arrested for a plant.  Plus their old lungs can't hack the smoke anymore, fer real.  The get prescription meds under medicare/medicaide.

I outgrew everything on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network by the time I was 13.
Tried to get back into it about 5 years ago but it's just impossible.
Cartoons are for little kids and the weird kid at your lunch table who never hit puberty.
(and for burned out high school hockey players who hook up with ugly Asian chicks)

I'm gonna have to guess you don't know too many people over 50 at all. You would really be surprised.

I know a lot of people over 50.  Only one of them smokes. and he's got Parkinson's.

You're probably right though.  There are probably a lot of 50+ people who smoke, and they do it in the privacy of their homes.  I guess the popular media portrayal of a pot-smoker is a guy standing on the corner smokin' blunts and rappin' while drinking 40oz's.

I wonder if Jon Stewart smokes weed.

I'm gonna guess yes, but say social smoker on that guy.

As for adult swim, I didn't even start watching it until college and I haven't outgrown it yet, so not sure there's an age limit.

I hope he smokes.

I didn't start watching til I was older than 21. That was 8 years ago.

I rarely watch [as] now. The site is way more entertaining. One day it will all fade away into obscurity only to be brought up in Futurama episodes and Jeopardy questions.
