This has serious sociological implications. Among them:

So if their earnings have risen the exact same proportion as ours has fallen & if they don't 'need to (rely on men) anymore.' 

And if "we support ourselves. We support our kids."

Then what in the fuuuuuudge do we need to pay child support for any more?

im not saying the man shouldnt have to pay
but my brother is paying his ex wife of 13 years  over 1K in child support while she and her current husband dont work
and raising a baby with his fiance on less than 200 a month

See that's the #### I'm talking about & why I refuse to have any children, at least in this country.

Ok, so I can get married. Or just have a kid.

And then some strange guy can sleep with my woman. In my bed. In my house. While eating my #### food. While watching my #### tv.  While raising my #### kid. WHILE I #### FOOT THE BILL AND PAY FOR IT.

I mean no offense to anybody but unless you're married or in a REALLY commited relationship & you are dead-to-rights POSITIVE she's the one & you WILL be together @ least the vast majority of your adult lives & for the duration of your kid's raising period -- then you are an absolute stupid #### to be having kids a) in this economy & b) in the situation you described above.

He sleeps with your woman. And drinks beer & eats food that YOU PAY FOR. That you work for. And you have to shut up & just take it?

Hey oi oi oi -- FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF THAT HOMEY FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF THAT.

And then they have those cases where if the kid thinks you are the father & if you find out ten years down the road that its NOT your flesh & blood & that your woman cheated on you & the kid isn't biologically yours.

And then the judge STILL makes you pay the tab because either it'll be 'detrimental' to the child if you leave or the father's a deadbeat, or the mother doesn't even know who the father is -- crap like that. Not my child -- not my problem. You have to subsidize tikes who aren't even yours & pay for a man to sleep with your woman in your house & you foot the bill. And not to one-sided there ARE cases of male-deadbeats who do the same thing & milk their female baby-mamas & sleep with other woman while she slugs it out @ work.:

So in other words, in rolling order: 2/3 of black kids are born out of wedlock. Half of hispanic/latino kids are born out of wedlock. A third of white kids are born out of wedlock. And I betcha the white portion of that is growing the fastest given the ppl I know....

he problem is much more broad than what the scope of the *study* there are SO many other factors and variables that weigh on this that have absolutely nothing to do with even being married.

the study is pretty pointless because it covers none of those issues and just focuses on one thing

It amazes me when people are surprised by all the drama that comes with having a child out of wedlock. Doesn't matter if you've fallen out of love with the person or things didn't work out; you have to deal with them for the rest of your life because you now have a child together.

And it's haaaaaard to take care of a child on one income, even if it's one really good income. Most single mothers I know scam the government system and rely on child support for supplemental income. I don't see that as "supporting" your children.

but then a lot of women are going to #### banks nowadays so i guess child support is not always a given ...
