Hahaha. Let's get that out of the way first off. But in all seriousness-
The cat has more hair than anything else on earth. I seriously spent 2 hours brushing him one day and I didn't make a dent. Seriously, it's more like wool.
Scisors won't work on this thing. You need an industrial shaver.
The last time my mom attempted it, we realized that the cat is terrified of the sound of the industrial shaver. Have you ever seen a cat jump five feet straight up? It's entertaining, to say the least.
So today she finally got sig of his ~5 pounds of extra hair, and enlisted the help of my sister to hold him while she shaved him. He didn't like that much, so they put a sock over his head to calm him down.
Have you ever seen a cat with a sock on it's head trying to get away from something? He wasn't going very fast so I can hardly call it running, even so, he bumped into the garbage cans twice before managing to run into the bathroom, where he bumped into the wall, and followed that until he bumped into the corner, where he sat, utterly defeated.
We decided that he'd had enough and took the sock off his head and let him go free. He looks even more rediculous now.

Maybe you should pay someone to do it for you?

The cat is also afraid of the car.
I'm sorry for you.
Oh, and the "scardey-cat" joke would be too obvious, so don't anyone say it.

Now he's hiding in the basement, because he looks rediculous. Poor little fella.
Embarassed cats are always hilarious. My car has found a way to beat it in her mind though. Shes old. 19 years old and when she goes in the catbox everythin doesnt go smoothly and occasionally when this happens we'll hear her yowling about it. Quite hilarious. So the first few times she would come out we would still be laughing and she'd hide under a bed for a couple hours.
Now after this happens she sprints out of the box and into the closest room and comes walking out slowly and calmly like nothing happened. pretty funny stuff.

I think sedation before shaving is your only option at this point.

Somebody should hold you down and put a sock over your head. See how much fun it is.
That does sound fun.

Hah! My friend has the same thing going on. It's an itty-bitty fun-sized ewok!
Your friend has too much fur?
I don't think he or she would like it if he or she knew you were calling him or her an ewok.

why's he have so much fur. whats wrong with him?
Because before he was our cat, he was nature's cat, and nature never bothered to trim him. As for the sock thing, he doesn't mind it. My sister likes to put a sock on his head and he just lays there purring.
As for the picture, give me a minute, I have to find the cat and the camera. No promises on the camera though, my sister might have it right now.
