There is this disgusting lump in my throat reading that first article. I don't want to, nor need to, venture into the second one.
This stuff sickens me and enrages me and it only makes me more worried about the fate of our humanity. That being said, "kindness", "mercy", and any other such words have no effect on me during these times... nor would any legal proceedings comprising of "guilty / not guilty by reason of mental insantiy", "confinement to a mental facility", or any somesuch.
This is a bastard and he should die. It's only too bad it's in NY State because they don't do death penalty, as far as I'm aware of... and, as it stands, I don't give one crap about him being on suicide watch. Let him kill himself, as far as I'm concerned. Otherwise, 12 unfortunate jurors and a courtroom are going to have to see those pictures, as if the passersbys didn't already have to experience that when going by the trash. Spare them and just let him die.
The guy began to hate his mom because she left him with foster care so she could get off of drugs and return back to society. The guy had been supported by his mom after she came back and had been raising her grown child alongside her Down's Syndrome brother -- who he then took to beating -- when he wasn't making death tweets regarding her or researching murder... which, of course, is premeditation.
How can it be said he's mental if he's taking time and pleasure in finding ways to dispose of her? It's because he's not. He's just a son with a chip on his shoulder that wanted to live off of his mama and take no damn responsibility for anything and when he was faced with having to be kicked out because she wasn't going to put up with it anymore, he did her in.
Let him die. A life behind bars where his basic needs would be provided for would only be life under a new provider. No, he should exist no longer.
