I've lived in both settings, and yes, there's gonna be some downsides like poor internet and driving to do anything...but...there are a lot of upsides to it, too. If you get to know the community, smaller towns in the country tend to be a lot closer knit, so there might not be as many spots to hang out at, but the places there are will be really familiar....assuming you take advantage of them.
There's a lot of good stuff out in the country....probably be a shock, but it's no big deal.
