okay so today my stepbrother came over to tell my family that god came to him through xbox live and told him to smash his xbox

so my little brother who is an xbox fanatic just unplugged his xbox and said that he didn't want any of his games anymore [they are going to throw them out]

and just now my sister tried to convince me to do the same thing with my ps3 and my xbox 

now i'm a decent christian and i DO belive in god 

but this is just taking things way way too far they didn't even let me keep his games

thoughts???

btw no athiests alowed so don't go trolling me just give me your honest opinion but please don't tell me that there is no god

I'm a Christian. I don't attend church like I prob should but I'll give you my opinion.

With due respect to your family -- they're nutz. There is NOTHING un-Christian or anti-Christian about video games, X-Box, PS3, Wii or any system. Games are FANTASY, not reality.

And God expects you to tell between the 2. I dunno why your family's acting so irrationally but it's not necessarily a Christian thing to do.

God expect u to use ur brain -- not just be an emotional being.

If a deity was talking to someone via their gaming system and it was a deity that they actually have an affinity towards, why would they destroy that means of communication?

Shouldn't throw them out either. If they don't want someone to hang onto things for them until the stupid passes out of their system, then box things up and put them in the closet for now. If it's still a big thing in 6 months and they can't even stand to have the stuff in the house, donate it or something. But hopefully the stupid will have worn off by then or god will have popped up on a cell phone with a different opinion.
