All I'm seeing is an equally immature person doing something that's even more stupid than a teenager posting angst on Facebook.

Do you smell that?

Poor kid, imagine the harrasment a kid would get for being grounded over Facebook, writing letter to yourself is a type of stress relief

True, but it ceases to be a letter ot yourself when you put it on FACEBOOK.

Yes, you could say the dad went too far, but I was thoroughly amused at the proclamation that his daughter was going to pay for the bullets too.

Considering this is a teenager we're talking about-- technically a kid-- it really shouldn't matter. Even adults take to Facebook to expunge their personal problems, so an angsty teen would naturally want to express themselves on a site that's highly prevalent in their lives. This being said, I'm not saying the kid shouldn't be punished, but taking a handgun to a perfectly fine laptop with new software over a status on Facebook that people probably just glossed over is extremely idiotic.

She certianly needed to be punished. If for nothing else than being stupid enough to post that online. But shooting the laptop is a waste. Sell the bastard, or something if you are going to geg rid of it.

I don't think it was the profanity fair queen of england, I think it was more the kid being disrespectful and biting the hand that feeds her.

unless they plan to keep her chained in the basement and home schooled, then I think maybe she'll have plenty of access to other computers.

Yeah, he went a bit overboard there.

I didn't skip I seen, but I don't think he was offended over the cussing as much as he was the disrespect and her expecting to get paid for doing chores, he continued to harp on that one

I wonder if he is going to collect the money for the hollowpoints?

I think he did the correct thing. it seems that talking to her did not get through, so you have to go to their level of understanding. she made the post's(notice there where more than one) for attention, so the only way to get through to her was by using the same thing, attention. that is why he shot the computer, because it caused attention.

and apparently it worked. I went to his facebook just to look and apparently she is doing great. I don't think anyone thinks that she doesn't have access to computers, it's pretty much a part of a school curriculum anymore, but being in the IT field I'm sure there are plenty of home computers she can use for homework and stuff.

I think there is more money going around with the younger generation, more toys, and parents love to spoil they kids but that's a problem because it creates a false sense of entitlement.

I believe the father and daughter is doing great, because the daughter respects her dad because she knows he won't put up with bull ####.
