I give him credit for consistency. It's the logical conclusion of the pro-life position, after all. If one truly believes that a fetus is a person deserving full protection under the law, then what right does the mother have to kill it? The fetus-child itself is completely innocent of any crime.

I have zero respect for people who call themselves "pro-life" but then make exceptions for rape and incest. You're essentially saying it's okay to kill a child for the sins of its parents.

But then I also have zero respect for people who call themselves "pro-life" who don't bother to actually get out there and actively engage in, at the very least, civil disobedience. There are over 1 million abortions performed each year in the US. if you're "pro-life", that's 1,000,000+ murders. What kind of rotten human being are you to stand idly by while millions upon millions of people are murdered in your country?

One problem: he isn't consistent. His wife had a pregnancy terminated to save her own life. He rationalized this, but still claims that no one else should get the same exemption.

My other problem with some pro-life people: if they are so against abortion, why aren't they pushing for better sex-ed in school? Why aren't they going on about contraception? That's a great way to reduce unwanted pregnancy, which would reduce the need for abortion at all? Santorum here is against contraception.

It isn't about the fetus. It is about control. They want to force their morality on you. They want to make others follow their ideals. It isn't about saving the lives of the unborn, it is about control and power.

Rick Santorum would be the first man to rush his daughter after she was raped to an abortion doctor you can bet on that, Santorum is such a hypocritical (POS) that it amazes me.

The man wants to force his morality on everyone in this country, his twisted Puritanical beliefs that are so far out of date and sanity it is pathetic.

He said, "We have to accept what god give us." So Santorum god gives us rape? Some god we got if so.

As for a pregnancy that could kill the mother, I say if the mother wants to live that the pregnancy should be terminated at her behest.

In all truth two of my greatest phobias in this world was one, me having an intestinal problem to the point I had a colostomy. I can check that one off the list, it happened and thank karma that I don't have it permanently.

The second is my lady dying in child birth, with people like Santorum that second phobia would be less a phobia and all but a certainty.

The decision for an abortion should always be with the person having it, not some ideological religious Zealot.

Never be surprised at how many ignorant people follow a blind religious creed and will follow Santorum off a cliff like damned lemmings, never thinking of the "what if's" of any given situation.

Um, the piece I just read from that book, give me a resounding feeling of being creeped out.

There was nothing spiritual about taking a dead fetus home with you and sleeping with it between the two of you in the hospital.

That is quite macabre, and worse is they took the fetus home to show the other siblings.

The rabbit hole is deep in the Santorum family.
