i tried growing strawberries but birds and other vermin kept eating them before they were fully ripe.

i grow mine in pots so i can move them around. same with my other berries. the only berries that are outside all the time are the mulberries on the tree.

i had a mulberry seedling in the backyard, but the stupid gardener pulled it out.

also, i didn't have any pots so i stuck the strawberries in the ground and covered them with netting, but even then they still got eaten.

awwww. that blows. mullberry jam is awesome! the birds around here love the berries. stupid birds!

I know springs here when I have to take Clariton if I want to breath .

Today is day 3 of having to take it .

Usually a week or two after spring starts my allergies calm down

and around week 3 I can quit taking it .

BTW -  I Didn't have allergy problems until I quit smoking .

 ..... or weight problems

 ...... or depression

I've been  thinking about taking it back up again .

my allergies are driving me crazy. i never had seasonal allergies until we moved to california. stupid west coast. my magnolia tree is starting to bud. i'm so excited! also, don't start smoking again. it's horrible for you. you gained weight either because you replaced the cigarettes with food or because you started eating more because your food started tasting better. smoking dulls your taste buds. just start exercising more, you'll be fine.

Other than that, I enjoy spring because it means that I'm that much closer to seeing the first cleavage of the year.

Clariton 24 has made my life livable for now .

Those tiny pills are incredible .

The downside to the Clariton is that I get nosebleeds very easily when I'm on it for to long .

I'll just wake up in th moring and blow my nose and I've got a big bleeder right there .

Still totally worth getting rid of the chain sneezing .

I wanted to replant my Golden pothos yesterday because the weather was really nice. I took them out of the pot and the roots were in a terrible mess... no wonder the plant was dying. So I'm propagating it in hopes to save it. Also I'm planting morning glory from seeds. But the seeds are mad old, so I'm not sure if they're still good.

neat! we're going out to get stevia seeds today and we're going to the farm supply store for some peanuts. we're gonna try growing them as well, but we're going to buy a big bag so we can make some peanut butter! also, how old are the seeds?

they might be ok if you stored them properly. i had some pretty old seeds last year and they came up just fine. and ha! we totally are. we are gonna ask around to see if we can barter with someone for a chicken coop. nothing big, we just wanna have 4 or 5 chickens to start out. i also really want a goat. fresh cheese made from goat's milk and yogurt! i'd be in heaven. blue eventually wants to get a cow and a few pigs. and, technically, i'm not city folk. i grew up in a rural area. i HATED the city. i'll never go back. they'll have to drag me outta here kicking and screaming. XD
