The drug rule is not enforced arbitrarily and it's not enforced at any mention of drugs.

The part of the ToS that covers discussion of drug use has to do with the clause that states there should be no discussion od illegal or illicit acts.

Which means that if you post about laws that you are breaming, then you are subject to moderation. Discussing illegal drugs that you take falls into this category.

Discussions of topic regarding drugs that concern legalization, social or physical effects are not moderated beyong personal use.

So to say the site is hypocritical because of the game or that the rule is enforced arbitrarily is hyperbole based on ignorance.

And if you have been moderated for other comments, then you have an argument for overturning the ban.

Also, you do not have freedom of speech on this website. That's prolly been posted to death though, so.. really you can just search about it if you have questions on that count.

Suffice it to say, it shouldn't be a surprise if you clicked "agree".

You can understand, though, why people might feel that it is arbitrarily enforeced, right?  It's not that the ToS needs to be changed or that enforcement is inadequate, not by any means.  At the same time, drug use is so ingrained in our social consciousness - from addiction, to crime, to cultural aesthetic, to broader social malaise - that it's not always easy to seperate self from the act.  It's not something that can be delinieated by intent to break the law.

In terms of enforcement it is pretty clear cut though. Talking about personal use. That's what gets moderated.

Since I'm the culprit who started this line of conversation I just want to know......Or actually I already know, but I guess I'm asking you from two different standpoints (as a former mod, and a user)........As a mod, I'll assume that if I said use of these drugs will destroy your mind, and you'll have sex you didn't remember while also making it a point to say that I don't do them anymore because of things like that still would cause you to action me........Which I'm fine with.......You can't argue the rules when they are spelled out.

But hypothetically, would a thread that I blatantly warned about the dangers of drug use, then alluded to my past (because someone whose never done them would be spouting from their ass).......While still presumably ban worthy ,could it slip by.......Not that I have any intention on making one, but just kind of curious.

Personally, I did not moderate allussions to past actions where posters explained they did not do those things anymore.

I mean, I myself have posted about being arrested and experiences that occurred while I was chemically altered.

At the same time, I would not presume to tell you to make a thread specifically about drug use even if it was clear that you were talking about past actions you were no longer involved in.

Personal use can be moderated, so it's possible that the thread could be closed or removed and depending on the context that you could be banned.

Again, personally, there were very few ppl that I actually banned for discussion of drugs. In those cases it was often after several written warnings were ignored.
