I'll go ahead and do Tosen's bio.
Kaname Tosen

Kaname Tosen is a rather average height, blind man with dark skin, and dark brown hair. He was best friends with a female Soul Reaper, and her eventual death is what motivated him to join the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. He did it in the name of justice, so that no other would suffer her fate, he wanted to protect the world she loved.
One of his good friends is Komamura, the two becoming fast friends because of their differences to other souls, Tosen being blind, and Komamura being a... wolf guy... thing. Tosen was the only one who could detect Komamura's reatsu when they first met, as he had become especially good at hiding himself, both his appearance, and spiritual pressure.
Tosen joined up around the same time as Komamura and the two rose through the ranks over the years. Tosen in several different squads, first as a seat under Lieutenent Aizen, and later in Squad 9 as a seated officer, he eventually became Captain of Squad 9, and Hisagi joined as his Lieutenant, a man with similar ideals to Tosen.
Later on, Tosen himself finally had to fight during the Ryoka Invasion, taking on Kenpachi, using his Shikai, and later... Bankai, but was ultimately defeated, though saved by Komamura. Not long after this, he, Gin, and Aizen defected and were rescued by Menos, fleeing to Hueco Mundo, where Tosen serves as a subordinate under Aizen, and superior to the Espada.
He later interrupts Grimmjow during his fight with Shinji because he invaded Karakura Town, with his Fracciones, who died in battle, against Aizen's orders. Tosen destroyed Grimmjow's arm as punishment.
Tosen is later seen accompanies by Wonderweiss, a person he says to be of pure intentions, like himself, and often pets him as if he were a dog, and WW sometimes sits like a dog. Tosen has said he followed Aizen because it was the path of the least blood, perhaps fed up with the corruption, ineffectiveness, and backwardness of the Soul Society.
Tosen's Zanpakuto, Suzumushi has the power to dull and overwhelm the senses. He used the Shikai's release command, Cry, to cause a weakned Uryu to pass out with a blast of sensory overloading energy. The Shikai's second special ability, Suzumushi Nishiki: Benihikō, can also transform the blade into another type of sword which launches multiple blades at an opponent, as seen during his fight with Kenpachi.
Finally, the Bankai, Suzumushi Tsuishiki: Enma Kōrogi, creates a giant field that takes away all of an opponent's senses except touch, and only by touching Tosen can you perceive him, in this state. It works by capitalizing on a person's fear of the unknown.
Tosen is also exceptionally skilled in Kido, as seen when he used it to destroy Grimmjow's arm, for example, and he is also capable of opening a Garganta with just a flick of his arm, something usually only Hollows and Arrancars can do.
