BLEACH

I very quickly fell in love with Bleach and am looking forward to seeing it on [adult swim]. This series is full of interesting characters and action. But what especially drew me in was the commitment to others that provides the foundation for the actions each character takes. I heard that this is a long series and that makes a lot of people nervous. We all know how long series can falter, but so far I haven’t been disappointed. I think the basic stories provide enough variety to support a long run. If someone else has already put up a continuing discussion thread I can ask the mods to lock this one but I didn’t see any so here goes.

This is not an episode thread. If you want to comment on current episodes look for the episode threads floated on the board.

Ah, I see. I quit after SS arc. I can't stand shounen fillers.

Anyway I'm sure this show will be a big hit on [AS]. It's a simple plot to follow with simple characters...although a bit to many characters to follow imo.

i say having a large variety of characters that have their own affect on the storyline is more interesting then just one main character and the others are just cast aside and not really concentrated as much as the main.

Well, i have no clue about bleach other than what the promos tell me

and yet, after seeing the first half of Trinity Blood (since the Fix wouldn't let me see it all)

I can still safely say I'm more interested in how Bleach is.

Although Trinity Blood was more interesting than expected. But That's for the TB threads.

I can't watch this series more than once. I guess thats one reason I'm not that big of a fan. It doesn't have rewatchability value for me.

One thing I'm excited about is Michelle Ruff voicing Rukia. She is the only reason I'll be watching the dub. If you can't tell yet, she's basically my favorite female VA

if you folow the storyline closeley youll find bleach to be one of the best animes our there!!!! well... thats what i think or if your just into the fight and stuff like that thats cool too there is some pretty cool fights.

Well pretty much the only way for it to be legal is if they, the site or a certain group bought airing rights straight from the original owners of the series for a certain area or asked VIZ for permission.

Now, what were you saying?  Oh yeah, I'm thinking that maybe when you see it in the dub and start to be able to keep more of the characters straight you might like it a little more.  But then again....maybe not.

Hey, if it proves more entertaining than the way overhyped letdown of a show Eureka 7, then i'm all for it.

I'm sick of depressing, sad sack characters. Bleach looks like there's always gonna be someone as a kick ash character

if you can back that up with a good looking chick (especially if she also kicks ash) and a comic relief then you've sold me

in my eyes.... Ichigo is TOTALY opposite of Renton also.... kon is sometimes funny and Yoruichi is the coolest!!!

Nah, the dub won't make any difference. I know most of the characters, but Kubo Tite doesn't do anything with the characters which is another problem with Bleach. He introduces like 30 new people every arc and expects us to care what happens to them when he gives only a little glimpse of their backstory. That sort of thing bugs me about Bleach.
