During this final cahpter we need to see some more Bankai. Like Yamamoto's. Maybe Rukia will get Bankai in due time. And since this is the final arc, we will most likey see the Soul King and Royal Guards. As far as Aizen comes along, I seriously hope he comes back. Kubo, bring AIZEN BACK!
I see. Well, thanks for the compliment, then. ![]()
I had high hopes, but the only problem is, these guys have the ability to seal/destroy Bankais. (I think people are misinterpreting Sasakibe's line. I think he meant the Vandenreich can seal/destroy Bankai, not use it.) That means that no one will want to use them if they fear they can lose them. Which means now we really won't be seeing anymore Bankais!
But yeah, hopefully the others will appear finally, and Aizen can show up again, for whatever reason.

The ones he was using during the beginning of the arrancar arc before he got his bow back did have chants just like kido. My translation of the first he used in ch.185 has him saying "Battle formation of the air, accept this holy offering." "Haizen!" for instance.
Haha now you had me doubting myself. I just rechecked, he definitely pulls something out of his pocket on page ten. That's what grows and surrounds Ichigo.
He has left his body alone, but I don't know why it would decompose in one example and not another. It'd be soulless regardless, which should effectively kill the body.
No one seems to be making much of a fuss over Isshin living as a human(and actually having kids with one!). As for whether or not he should be considered a substitute, that's assuming they even know Ichigo had his chain cut. It's not really something he or Urahara would tell people.
I know most don't, that's why I specifically said the "soul-sapping" one.My point was just that there doesn't seem to be much distinction between a soul in a gigai and an actual human as far as how they function.
Yeah I've always found it weird how no one ever calls Urahara on his BS. He's always speaking in half-truths and generally #### with people, not to mention despite playing on the "good" team he is a great representation of what is wrong with Soul Society. I still do not understand why he handled the entire SS arc in the way he did. Aizen could of been stopped well beforehand if he hadn't decided to play a chess match and actually tried to stop him.
Really? Fair enough, then. It was probably a Quincy spell and not kido then, after all. I also re-read that chapter before re-reading the current one just now, and you're right, he does take something out of his pocket, which becomes the large x-shaped object.
That's a good point. I guess we should just chalk it up to Ichigo's status just not making any sense. Either that, or there's some sort of built-in thing with Soul Reaper powers that keeps the body fresh. Maybe another feature of the badge. In any case, Ichigo is meant to be out of body, like someone astral projecting, when he goes into Soul Reaper form. I guess the body doesn't degrade, for whatever reason...
Yeah, he could have directly done something. Well, he wanted to, maybe. I noticed that when he put his hand up to the special gate, that it was shocked. Apparently the SS put some kind of special barrier in place that can block out specific people. I suppose they lifted this restriction by the time they were working together late in the Arrancar Arc, since he appeared in SS to seal Aizen.
Still, yeah, I really wish someone would have called him out before, or at least done something about what he's done. Granted, you can say he's been punished enough for what has happened to him, but everything bad that happened to him and his friends was mainly his fault. So, I have a hard time feeling sorry for him.

Anyway, as to the current chapter.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. There was some great action and revelations. I'm almost rather shocked at how fast this is moving. Kubo isn't BSing around, this time.
Sasakibe is somehow... still alive!? How is that possible?! His attacker said he was dead. In any case, he managed to get out some words, but because of his injuries, he struggled with them. It seems almost everyone else came to a different conclusion than I did. I think he was trying to say that the enemy can seal or destroy Bankai. I didn't get the impression that they could use it. We'll have to wait and see for further clarification.
Wait, how does Sasakibe even know they can do that? Don't tell me he's had Bankai all along, too...
In any case, whatever it was, it was enough to make Yamamoto open his eyes in shock as wide as I have ever seen!
Oh, and my question was answered as to whether he can use RyujinJakka's power again. Hahaha.
Their teleporting technique is interesting. It's a shadow roughly in the shape of the user. Maybe the Vandenreich are from NeverNeverLand.
I am a bit annoyed that Ivan ran away before Ichigo could get more answers, though.
Their castle looks pretty cool. It's an interesting design. Did you guys notice the cross on the tower? Yep, these guys are definitely Quincy-related. I'm sure Blah is also pleased that the palace is not Toshiro-related.
Enemy boss looks awesome, though extremely familiar to me for some reason. I'm thinking maybe somebody from Rave Master or One Piece, or something else? Hell, he looks a bit like Zangetsu. Either way, I'm interested to see who this guy and his minions are. Funny that he blasted the guy's arm off that was taunting Yamamoto, for arguing in front of him. I like this "King" already.
I hope they have someone with an Orihime-like power on the team, or he's going to be seriously at a disadvantage. Like someone said, you can't use a bow without two arms!
Also, he didn't seem to have an Arrancar mask, despite all the busy-ness going on with his hair and face.

That would make sense because he is one of the oldest vice captains. If he meant that they can seal Bankai the only way he could test that hypothesis is to have had a bankai. I guess he's like Rubone-- stronger than a nOOb but not quite the top tier. Dont know why he got owned in the ss arc though

It's possible. In any case, hopefully the next chapter will clear this up.
I also find it amusing that Yamamoto is just standing there, and not trying to get him any help or anything. The guy has lost an forearm and was impaled with a giant, wide spear through his abdomen, and seems to just be really bleeding from just about everywhere... Maybe he knows Squad 4 will have been automatically dispatched...
But yeah, it's possible he has Bankai, since he has been around forever. Or, maybe you guys are right and the new badguys can use Bankai that they have "collected". This should be cleared up shortly, we can only hope.
Well, Ichigo dispatched him and those other two Lieutenants pretty handily. We never really saw what Isane or Sasakibe could do, but we know that Omaeda was able to defeat a Fraccione, and at least hold off a powerful Espada. Maybe they just got caught off guard. Either way, it's still one of my favorite scenes.
MegaNaraku - That's because we don't!
Not that most of us probably care, but still... it was recently revealed during the Zanpakuto filler arc (AS airing) that his Shikai ability is thunder and lightning. That's one of my favorite elemental powers, so I'm kind of disappointed Sasakibe never got to use it in the canon sections. Furthermore, it's not even him using the power, it's his Zanpakuto, whom he isn't even there to fight!

Lo siento. Yo soy muy bebido gracias a OKTOBERFEST! Bier es mucho muy bueno!

Was Bleach off this week? I hadn't heard, and there wasn't a little disclaimer at the end of last week's chapter, like there usually is. That sucks.
And why is Robertje talking about music in the manga thread? There's no music with manga, man. It must all be in your head.
