Nooooo why did we have to start a new thread?! Now I have to refer back the old one to respond to posts! Also, seeing Ghost's reply in there on my email subscription really weirded me because I know she's only as far with Bleach as Adult Swim is. Still... the old thread was really long and it seemed that OP had dropped off the map. I know there isn't a post-limit for threads any more, but a new one won't hurt. It will take some getting used to... I just... don't like change very much.

As for the Quincy, that is a pretty good point as well. Perhaps they lose their Quincy powers if they turn into Souls (I would say no to this since Ichigo and co., including, Uryu, whom obviously still had spiritual powers afterward, all had to go through a special Urahara-made gate to be turned into souls to enter the Soul Society), or maybe they figure they can better control the Quincy in the Soul Society. Maybe they threw them all in the Maggot's Nest, or maybe they have Quincy Concentration Camps! Holy crap, the more you analyze it, the more a horrible place the Soul Society most likely is!

No that's stupid. The twist will be that he's also a Soul Reaper. Seriously he looks exactly like Hanataro's older brother who used to be Unohanas Lieutenant. I'm hoping it's not just Kubo suffering from sameface disease.
Also I've known that Soul Society is a **beast**ty place from the very beginning. Seriously it shouldn't be so surprising. Even Aizens about God more than hints that something is not right about the Soul King.
I was just joking about that, in case you couldn't tell. 
And yeah, that might be interesting as well. It might explain why Ginjo and Shu are clearly on such a higher level than the other Xcutioners! And yeah, he does somewhat resemble Hanataro's brother from that databook (who looked a bit evil, I might add), and also that random Aizen underling from the chapter where we saw Aizen playing with his own Hogyoku.
Quincy Camps a real possibility. Yeah, I am a bit concerned about the "Soul King", too. If it's not an actual person that turns out to be secretly evil, I wouldn't be surprised if it's some sort of techno-ghoulish abomination along the lines of that Dangai janitor thingy... gives me the heeby-jeebies just thinkin' about it!

I can understand wanting to comfort the twisted child, but wanting to make him feel more fear is something along the lines of a serial killer's train of thought. I agree with LordJupiter though. Homicidal kids like Yukio are a common manga/anime cliche, but a fun one, nonetheless!
Why did you say nothing happened when some very big things just happened... that you just stated! I think the fact that Byakuya just got actually injured (though it doesn't look fatal) and that Shu has peered into his memories is a pretty big deal! We've also learned that Byakuya has a weakness, as you said... it is refreshing, but it also makes sense, if you think about it. The zanpakuto isn't going to act in such a way to damage itself or Byakuya himself. This battle has been very interesting and entertaining, I might add.
Rukia's "fight" with Riruka is great! How much adorable and hilarious can this get?! We finally get to see what Love Gun (is this a Guns n' Roses reference by Kubo the music fan?) can do, in addition to shooting cute objects, we see how people are plushy-ized! I also appreciated that Rukia acknowledged that they shouldn't kill humans if they can help it. How will Rukia get out of this? Will we see plushy Rukia firing kido that will ensure cute-awesome-badass-hilarity, or does her being a stuffed animal make it seem that one opponent is "dead/defeated", and Riruka can leave from the battle room with Rukia tucked under her arm?
I think there are some other things worth pointing out. Now that Byakuya has been slashed, if Shu wants to cut him again, will he lose the knowledge? Also, why didn't he "friend" Byakuya? Some have theorized it is because he doesn't know about Yukio's situation, and since one or both have to die to leave the room, "befriending" Byakuya would do him no good?
How come sometimes Book of the End causes physical damage, but other times doesn't? I suppose he can control if it does physical damage, and whether or not he wants to use/cancel the power? If so, that makes him even more hax.
Also, if you guys recall, when Ginjo made his big heel turn, he was the one that slashed Ichigo whilst Shu slashed Uryu. Did Shu merely just inflict physical damage, or is Uryu "affected" and could turn on Ichigo at any time? Can Shu have the effect be immediate (in the case with Byakuya), or delay it, in other cases? Is this something that after a while it just goes off and the person changes, or can he activate it remotely, at will?
Or perhaps the notion of Shu in someone's/something's past can slowly build and in other times be instantaneous, depending on the circumstance and Shu's needs in the situation? Hopefully Kubo will explain some of this as Shu continues his villainy (which I agree is outdoing Ginjo's at the moment)!
