Okay if it ends, it ends, but I would have no real reason to visit this forum.
Also, I would at least like an explanation. Why now of all times did someone decide to cancel it when it's been dishing out AROUND the same kind of quality for over 10 years? Is Studiopolis going to produce the Rock Lee spin-off AS WELL as Naruto at the same time, and they need to cancel Bleach because it would be too big a workload for them? Why the short notice?

Honestly I don't care too much for this forum, just became a habbit, when I turn my computer I check my email, check my twitter, and check the forums, out of pure boredom, and I'm sure if Bleach gets Canceled we will have a explanation, and a understanding of why.

It's finally happening. So from the looks of things, it'll end before it hits 370 episodes. Whether or not they'll adapt the final arc when it's finally finished in a few years is unknown. Bleach's declining ratings were probably a big factor. There's also so they don't have filler, and can adapt that final arc with no problems in one straight shoot in a few years if that's what they are going to do.
Anyway, this works out well for me. I don't want it going on for 5+ more years.

Or, maybe they should do what's become all the rage these days:
Start over and do a re-boot. It worked for Brotherhood; why not Bleach? Just wait till it ends and do a more refined adaptation, and make it closer to the manga.
And change animation studios. I'd like to see what Bones could do with this.

No, that can't be true! That's impossible! It's the only Anime I even really keep up with anymore. I don't know what to add to this...
Maybe they'll do like what happened with Naruto and just wait a while for more manga and make a new show? If that's what happened. I'm not sure because I haven't watched Naruto since it left CN. I just don't get why they would end Bleach now, though.
They should have ended with
if they were going to do this.
Bleach doesn't need to be remade, either. The episodes that deal with canon were done well enough, and even with no filler, it's far too huge to remake those parts anyway. I am hoping they're just going to come back with a second series a la Naruto. I don't want a Final Act situation where you lose huge swaths of Manga material. I STILL haven't gotten around to reading the InuYasha Manga, either....arrrgghh.
Ya'll might consider putting a spoiler warning in the thread title. The talk in here is already getting a bit spoily if you're only watching it on Adult Swim.
Anyway, I'm heartbroken over this news. It really is very saddening, angering, and frustrating.
Don't leave us, Elfie, even if the Anime really is ending, which I am not one hundred percent sure on with the information we have right now, we still have the Manga.

if they were going to do this.

I find it very hard not to leave if [as] loses Bleach because I agree with your points too! It's saddening, and angering, and frustrating! This is section is basically the only one I visit ever, and it's the only long-running shonen I truly followed the whole way through.

Did you really think the Japanese wouldn't eventually get sick of Kubo's trolling? This was inevitable. The dog bites back.

Bleach isn't the only long-running one I followed completely (there was DB(Z), etc), but it's the only one still going that I follow. I saw a video rant on Naruto on TGWTG and rage-quit it after I heard about the direction the story went. It was already off CN by that point and I wasn't going to invest any further after I heard those spoilers. I wasn't mad that I got spoiled, I was mad about what I heard happened in those spoilers. The story really did go to shit, from what that guy said.
I couldn't keep up with One Piece after CN canceled it, and was kinda used to the 4Kids voices, too... sadly, I didn't give the Funi dub much of a chance, but it got canceled anyway. The show has since exploded in size, as has the manga, and even though I enjoyed it, it's just too huge for me to consider getting back into it anytime soon.
I visit other sections, but there's obviously not much going on there. The boards really aren't what they were when I was first here. People don't seem to want to discuss shows after they end anymore, among other things. I think it was better when it was just Action Discussion with no "Show Folders".
You've still got the manga. And anyway, I take this report with a grain of salt right now. It just says Bleach is leaving that time slot. It could just as well be moving back to a later slot (more violence, gore, and sexiness, woot!) and hasn't yet been announced. People are jumping to conclusions and blowing things out of proportion as always, and there's no sign of any elder statesmen more knowledgable with the Anime industry, yet.
Usually Fool, Blah, or Starks, etc. would come in here to quell our silliness, but that hasn't happened yet. Stay tuned to this situation and don't jump to conclusions so quickly.

No, because Kubo's not in charge of the anime.
I don't really care if it's ending. Just means there'll be less mediocre filler once the inevitable second series comes around.

It's not Reborn. It'll come back because there is an audience for it. Just think of it pulling an InuYasha; the final arc (which will most likely be massive) will air in a sequel anime series a few years from now.

I think they are just going to stop animation rather than make another filler arc. They will probably be back later.

Yes there will still be the magas but still I like having it in anime better.

At least Adult Swim will start being caught up by 1 week starting on April 1!
Looked at the schedule... nothing's changed.
Where did you see this? O.o
You're not following my logic here. For the past few years since August 2010, Bleach has aired 1 new episode a week, give or take a few when either the [as] broadcast or the Japanese broadcast took a week-or-2 long temporary break. If [as] continues to air Bleach at the pace of 1 episode a week, on March 24, they'll be airing the episode that aired in Japan on November 24, 2009, Episode 246, and will thus be 119 episodes behind the Japanese broadcast from the previous Tuesday, Episode 365. On March 31, they'll be airing the episode that aired in Japan on December 1, 2009, Episode 247, and the previous Tuesday will have been the finale, Episode 366, so they'll still be 119 episodes behind. However, the next Saturday, April 7, they'll be airing the episode that aired in Japan on December 8, 2009, Episode 248, but the Japanese broadcast will be frozen at 366, so they'll be only 118 episodes behind. The next week, 117, and the week after that, 116, and then, 115, so the [as] broadcast will gradually catch up to the Japanese while the series is on indefinite hiatus in Japan.

Oh, good; maybe this time Bleach can get more gritty now that they don't have to worry about TV Tokyo's stringent standards.
