In the anime, the next 10 or so episodes will be more filler, only a compilation of original short stories focusing on a different Zanpaktou with an over-arching plot concerning new phantoms caused by Muramasa's death. At this point, the anime was STILL not far enough behind the manga to return to canon, so the writers had to stall EVEN LONGER!
