Episode Guide Submission Thread

Bleach Episode Guide Submission Thread

Welcome to the Episode Guide Submission thread for the Bleach ASMB wiki. These individual episode posts will be written and submitted by you - the ASMB user population. Ghost_of_a_Librarian and myself will then be taking the information in the submissions and adding them to the wiki itself. Credit for each individual post will be given to the users who compiled and wrote the information.

I want to submit an episode guide, what do I do first?

First, you need to post in this thread and announce which episode you'd like to write a guide for. If no one else has done so ahead of you, you are free to create a submission for that episode.

Can I write more than one episode guide at a time?

No. Not at this moment. This is to reduce any monopoly on submissions by any one user.

What information do I need to include in an episode guide?

  • The Japanese episode title
  • The [adult swim] premiere date
  • The opening and ending themes for that episode
  • The season number in which the episode belongs to
  • A summary of the episode
  • A link to the episode's discussion thread on the Bleach board

Can I include any additional information?

Yes. You may include any trivia for that episode. You also may collect 7 screencaps from that episode (please number them in chronological order) to be added in a graphical image in the post.*

* This is a work-in-progress, so don't be surprised if you don't see this feature in every post.

Okay, I've finished compiling and writing my submission, now what do I do?

Now, you must post your submission in this thread for the HELPeRs to review and make any edits if necessary. Once everything looks a-okay, your submission will be added to the larger Episode Guide thread. The HELPeRs will give you credit for the post.

Hey, that was kinda fun. Can I write another episode guide now?

Yes. Once you have completed one submission, you may claim a new one. Remember to check that one hasn't already been written for the episode you wish to have, though.

But, wait! What about spoilers?

Spoilers are expected in the episode summaries, naturally. However, if you wish, you may use the spoiler tag in your posts for the more shocking stuff.

Meet Ichigo Kurosaki, age 15. He’s a high-school student who possesses the uncanny ability to see ghosts. But when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper from the Soul Society who helps lost souls find peace, his not-so-normal life becomes even more abnormal. In order to save his family from the grips of a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans, Rukia lends some of her powers to Ichigo. Much to her surprise, he absorbs most of her powers and in turn, he too becomes a Soul Reaper.

Submission thread is now unlocked. Although only the first 3 seasons' indexes are up, you can claim an episode up to the end of season 8 (episode 167). Just be aware those won't be inserted into the wiki until the indexes are ready.

A summary of the episode

Komamura starts to fight Aizen after hearing the news that Aizen, Gin, and Tousen betrayed the Soul Society. He is especially upset with Tousen, since they have been friends for so long. While fighting with Aizen, he is about to release his bankai but Aizen used a level 90 kido and defeated him. Gin is surprised that Aizen could perform a kido level that high so well but Aizen tells him that it was actually a failure. He continues his explanation of why he is betraying the Soul Society. His planning was all to get an artifact called the Orb of Distortion. The Orb of Distortion was created by Kisuke Urahara. It is a device that could remove the barrier between soul reaper powers and hollow powers. The reason for the capture of Rukia is because the orb is inside her. Urahara had placed the orb inside the gigai she was using after she have Ichigo her soul reaper powers. He goes on to say that the reason for the execution was a way for him to get the orb out of her. Since he had a feeling the execution would be interupted, he used his back up plan to get it out. After he took it out, he ordered Gin to kill her since she was no longer of any use to him. Gin releases his sword to kill her, but someone saves her. It was her brother Byakuya, who had taken the hit from the sword.  When Aizen was about to appoarch them, another surprise visitor arrives. It was Kyukaku and Jidanbo coming from the sky. Kyukaku performs a kido spell during the drop. As Aizen moves away from the impact, both Yoruichi and Soifon captures him. Meanwhile, Gin was watching thinking what he should do but was soon caught by Rangiku. Soon the captains and vice captains arrived surrounding them. They all couldn't believe Aizen would do this. As they were all around Aizen, Gin, and Tousen, they were surprised to see who came to help them escape. It was a group of Menos Grandes from a crack in the sky with an unknown creature behind them. They used a [insert name of the light thing here] (which is used by hollows to rescue their own) to help them escape. As Gin was engulfed by the light, he was a little disappointed that his capture didn't last long and apologized to his friend Rangiku. As Aizen was engulfed and being brought towards the menos, he explained how he wants to be a god. He takes off his glasses, sweeps back his hair, and reveal the true villian he is. He says his good byes especially to Ichigo, who he found amusing. After he left, everyone who had been hurt was getting healed by squad 4 (except for Ichigo who was being helped by Orihime). As Unohana arrived, and updated the status of Toshiro and Momo, she went over to Byakuya. He had asked to see Rukia. He begins to tell the story of why he really adopted her. His wife, Hisana, was really Rukia's sister. He also tells her that he had made two promises that he shouldn't had that made it complicated in whether he should save Rukia or not. One of the promises was to his parents which was to always obey the law (he made it because he already broke it by marrying Hisana). The other promise was to make Rukia his sister and protecting her. He laters apologizes to Rukia.

I'm such a bad fan. I didn't do episode 2 like I said I would. Well, I'll start work on it now. I'm sad that more people haven't added content to this. Writing episode guides is fun.

Thanks for submitting though. Just be aware that I plan to post the submissions in chronological order. I think the character guide is going to get more of the attention of people initially. Hopefully, once that is farther along, this thing can pick up steam. I really don't want to have to write all of these myself.

How are we ever going to get everyone together to write 100s of episodes guides?  That's going to be a lot of work.  Of course, with so many episodes, that means everyone will have a chance to contribute!  So, maybe they'll want to do so. :smileyhappy:

I agree though, that it makes sense to get the character guide finished before working on this.  That's more important, I think.

P.S. No one is going to want to write the Bount ep guides. :smileyvery-happy:

Summary

Continuing from the previous episode, Rukia explains what is going on to Ichigo. Meanwhile, Orihime and Tatsuki are having dinner at Orihime's apartment when they hear a loud roaring noise. Orihime and Tatsuki are both attacked but they can not see what is attacking them. Tatsuki falls unconscious. Orihime notices that there is a chain connected between herself and her body. The Hollow is now visible to her and he calls her name. Since she isn't sure who he is or how he knows her, the hollow gets mad and trys to attack her. Ichigo stops his attack. He notices Orihime can see him and the hollow tells him that Orihime is dead. He then throws Ichigo out the window. After Orihime takes a good look into the eyes of the hollow, she realizes it is her Brother, Sora. She tells him that the Sora she knew never would act that way. The hollow tells her that he was lonely especially after Orihime met Tatsuki. He feels it's Tatsuki's fault that she forgot about him. He then eventually blames her as well and begins to choke her. Ichigo steps in and tells him that big brothers are born first so they can protect their younger siblings. The hollow notices the glow of Orihime's hairpins, the hairpins that he once gave her, and remembers when Orihime was younger. At one point he tried to smash his head into the wall but goes after Orihime again. Once again he is stopped by Ichigo. The hollow spits some kind of acid at him and is about to finish the final blow when Orihime steps in. She gets caught in the mouth of the hollow. She apologize for asking him to stay with her when he died. She also tells him that she knew he was watching over him. To make sure her brother would move on, she displayed that she was happy with the new friends she had made so her brother wouldn't have to worry. With this, the spirit of her brother and his hollow side have an inner struggle. He eventually turns back into his regular self. Rukia explains that the reason Orihime's brother was forced to be turned into a hollow was because it would have been difficult for Ichigo to fight him. While healing Orihime, who have fallen unconscious, that because her Chain of Fate wasn't severed she will stay alive. Ichigo tells Sora that Orihime said that the hairpins she are wearing was a gift from him and she doesn't take them off. Sora takes Ichigo's zanpakuto and tries to kill himself. When Ichigo stops him, Rukia explains that this was the right way. As a Soul Reaper, they are to clean whatever sin was committed as a hollow and allow them to enter Soul Society. Orihime wakes up and sees her brother for the last time. They exchanged their good-byes and Sora passed on. Orihime broked down and cried. The next day at school, Orihime tells her friends what happened at school. The story she told, however, was no where near what actually happened. As Ichigo and Rukia listened, Ichigo realizes that Rukia must have done the same thing to them as she did to his family  (back in episode 1). Rukia explained it was a memory modifier. Ichigo tells Rukia that even though he's not ready to risk his life for strangers, he still doesn't want to just sit back and not do anything. He accepts to help Rukia and her Soul Reaper work.

Just for the record, I think while some of these new episodes are airing, people should have at making their synopsis just so this thread doesn't get too far behind.

After a series of accidents, Chad finally ends up in the Kurosaki family clinic, a large wound on his back. [adult swim] Premiere Date:
    October 6, 2006
Opening Theme:
    "*~Asterisk" by Orange Range
Ending Theme:
"Life is Like a Boat" by Rie Fu
Season:

Ichigo promises Karin that he will save Yūichi's, while it becomes obvious that Rukia's powers have not yet returned for the fight. Despite not being able to see spirits, Chad comes to her rescue by delivering a punch to Shrieker's face and even hits him with a telephone pole. He and Rukia's efforts are for naught though, as Shrieker uses exploding leeches to drive them to the brink. Ichigo appears just in the nick of time to help. As they fight, Yūichi explains that the Hollow was once a famous serial killer, and the boy's mother was his last victim. When young Yūichi pulled his shoelaces and caused him to fall off a balcony to his death, the murderer returned from the grave for revenge. Shrieker was able to transfer Yūichi's soul into the bird's body, and led him to believe that if he helped him for three months, his mother would come back to life. Enraged and disgusted, Ichigo swiftly destroys the creature. Instead of disappearing like other Hollows, a giant skeleton door appears and Shrieker is dragged away. Rukia explains that it was Hell, as he was so evil in life that his soul could not be purified and taken to the Soul Society. They free Yūichi's soul from the bird's body to be with his mother.

Fight to the Death! Ichigo vs. Ichigo

[adult swim] Premiere Date:
    October 13, 2006
Opening Theme:
    "*~Asterisk" by Orange Range
Ending Theme:
"Life is Like a Boat" by Rie Fu
Season:
    1

Rukia visits the shop of Kisuke Urahara, a mysterious man with shady connections to the Soul Society. He provides her with a package that turns out to be a pez dispenser-like object filled with something called Soul Candy. She gives it to Ichigo and explains that Soul Candy is a pill that allows a person's soul to exit their body and leaves an artificial, lab-created spirit inside to watch over it. The faux spirit seems pleasent enough and assures Ichigo that he'll take good care of the body while he's out fighting Hollows. Of course, hilarity ensues as he's revealed to be a perverted show-off. Meanwhile, Urahara discovers that he gave Rukia defective goods. Ichigo accidentally used a Konpaku, a modified soul, that had been designed to create combat soldiers out of deceased corpses. All mod souls were ordered to be destroyed when experiments failed, but this particular one happened to get mixed in with a batch of Soul Candy and was spared. The spirit finds a group of children playing a video game and laughing about how they plan to kill their characters and make better ones. He freaks out and launches at them, only to be stopped by the real Ichigo.
