Summary: 

We begin with Yuzu Kurosaki making a lovely sailor outfit for Kon, whom she has renamed Postaf. She freaks out because she does not have the thread she wants, so she leaves to buy some in the right color. Kon begins a monologue, where he moans and groans about having to watch over the other animals, whom he has been sewn to. Don Kanonji shows up at the Kurosaki clinic, and as he tries to make his speech, he is talked over by some kids standing nearby. He sees Karin Kurosaki, and starts a conversation with her, calling her Karakura Red. She asks how things are going, and he talks about how he is in the off-season, and some special training he has lined up for she and the other members of their Hollow-vanquishing team. Kanoji mentions that he has been losing ratings on his show, and so he will drum up some support with the special training. He then throws a fit at the door. .

Summary: 

Ichigo Kurosaki has a flashback of the day he became a Shinigami. He then remembers how Rukia Kuchiki saved his life and the day that the Soul Society took her back. All the events and battles he has had up to the day of Rukia's execution. Ichigo declares he will achieve Bankai today. In the training room, Ichigo is running with clones of Zangetsu chasing him and attacking him. Yoruichi Shihōin watches from a cliff and Zangetsu tells Ichigo that he has still not achieved Bankai. Ichigo tells Zangetsu to go harder and Zangetsu agrees. Ichigo picks up another sword and charges. .

Summary: 

A fight ensues between the Captains of the 3rd and 10th Squad, and the latter Captain releases his Zanpakutou, Hyourinmaru and gains the upper hand. Just as it looks like he would win, Ichimaru too releases Shinsou, using a different tactic this time by trying to get at Hinamori. Thankfully, Matsumoto arrives in time to stop Shinsou, and Ichimaru withdraws his sword. The date of Rukia’s execution has been changed to a much earlier date, and Renji has appeared in Ichigo’s training area also to train for Bankai. Rukia, alone in the Shrine, remembers a night where the lieutenant of her division had died in her arms.

Summary: 

Rukia Kuchiki senses Renji Abarai's spirit pulse disappear and stops walking in shock. She looks around trying to sense him but can't and asks why he had to die. She turns to see Captain Gin Ichimaru walking toward her. She thinks about how she hates him because of the way he acts and how it always felt like he could stun her just with one glance. He talks for a bit then comments that Renji is not dead yet. She focuses and senses that his spirit pulse is weak but is still there. Ichimaru asks her if she wants him to save her and Renji. Surprised, the guards in charge of Rukia ask him what he means. Rukia does not understand either. Ichimaru then walks up to her and says was just joking, after which he walks away. Rukia feels desperate, because Ichimaru destroyed her resolve to accept her sentence peacefully and made her want to live again.

Summary: 

The preparations for the execution of Rukia Kuchiki are almost completed and Rukia is trying to come to peace with herself. Captain Suì-Fēng notes that there are many captains and lieutenants missing for the ceremony, when Captain Byakuya Kuchiki walks up. Rukia shows surprise, but Byakuya ignores her and takes his place. Captain Commander Yamamoto asks Rukia if she has any last words to say and she says that she has one thing. Orihime and the other's notice the exectution beginning. Meanwhile, Captain Sajin Komamura and Captain Kenpachi Zaraki are still fighting. Komamura has released his Bankai and is about to continue his attack when a flash of light signals the beginning of the execution ceremony. Running toward the Sōkyoku Hill, Orihime Inoue, Uryū Ishida and the others all see it. Captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto see it and step up their pace to the Central 46 Compound to try and stop the execution, not seeing a shadow following them. Sentarō and Kiyone are rushing Captain Jūshirō Ukitake to leave, telling him that they are running out of time. He soon emerges from his room with a shield-like object in his hand saying that they have only one option left: to destroy the Sōkyoku.

Summary: 

Ichigo Kurosaki and Byakuya Kuchiki stand with their blades locked, discussing their reasons for why they're doing what they are, with neither able to understand the motivations of the other. Deciding that talking is pointless, the two resume combat. Byakuya swears to defeat Ichigo and execute Rukia Kuchiki with his own hands, while Ichigo swears to stop him. Meanwhile, Renji Abarai and Rukia are escaping from Sōkyoku Hill. Rukia demands that Renji go back and help Ichigo, and Renji refuses. He tells her about Ichigo's promise to repay his debt to her, but Rukia still regrets changing his life. Renji assures her that things will be fine and that no one ever thinks poorly of her for anything. Back at Sōkyoku Hill, Kiyone Kotetsu rushes to the aid of her sister, Isane Kotetsu, and Sentarō rushes to help her, but incapacitated by Captain Suì-Fēng. Kiyone stops in her tracks, and Captain-Commander Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto holds Captains Jūshirō Ukitake and Shunsui Kyōraku at bay, for their treachery. Shunsui, Jūshirō and Nanao Ise retreat, with Yamamoto following, and Suì-Fēng prepares to kill Kiyone, but she is taken by surprise by Yoruichi Shihōin, and the two fall from Sōkyoku Hill.

Summary: 

Yumichika Ayasegawa returns to where he left Kenpachi Zaraki fighting Kaname Tōsen and Sajin Komamura, but sees only his captain there. It seems that after having felt Captain Yamamoto's reiatsu, Captain Komamura abandoned his fight. Yumichika himself is beaming after having won against Shūhei Hisagi. Elsewhere, Shuhei lies helplessly after being defeated by Yumichika, cursing Yumichika for using a dirty trick such as draining his Reiryoku with his Zanpakutō. He then notices the spike in a reiatsu and a huge flame being generated nearby. Back with Captains Yamamoto, Ukitake, and Kyōraku, Ukitake gazes at Yamamoto's Zanpakutō, Ryūjin Jakka, and recounts how powerful it is as the oldest and most powerful fire-type Zanpakutō. Resigning themselves to battle, the Ukitake and Kyōraku release their own Zanpakutō, each creating a pair of swords. Yamamoto takes a moment to appreciate them as the only dual-sword Zanpakutō in Seireitei, and then the three captains clash, creating a huge explosion.

Summary: 

In the aftermath of the Shunkō attack, Suì-Fēng is revealed to be standing in the middle of a trench, dug out by the Shunkō, still burning at its edges. Suì-Fēng and the ground behind her though are unaffected. Yoruichi says she didn't tell her former partner of this technique because she knew it was too dangerous. Enraged, Suì-Fēng attacks, but Yoruichi stops her with Hanki. Suì-Fēng fails to understand how Yoruichi still surpasses her after a century of isolation. As she resumes her Shunkō and attacks again she recalls on her childhood and her previous relationship with Yoruichi until the day Yoruichi left the Soul Society and Suì-Fēng alike. In her rage, Suì-Fēng moves again to attack with a Shunkō... In a flashback, Suì-Fēng recalls seeing Yoruichi for the first time, and training with her, and eventually being taken under Yoruichi's wing. Suì-Fēng idolized Yoruichi and was happy with her, even in the midst of battle. Then one day, Yoruichi disappeared from Seireitei, and Suì-Fēng was overcome by her senpai's betrayal.

Summary: 

Ichigo calls for Byakuya’s bankai once again, and this time Byakuya complies. The petals rush foward to Ichigo, but he’s able to dodge it for long enough to direct another Getsu Gatenshou at the captain. Byakuya easily blocks it, and Ichigo looks as if he’s drowned in petals. After the dust clears, a bleeding Ichigo gets up and realizes that using only an initial release to try to win against ban kai is impossible. The sixth division captain hears Ichigo implying that he’s achieved bankai, which Ichigo immediately confirms as true. As Ichigo powers up to his bankai, Byakuya thinks about how hard it is to get to bankai, and how impossible it should be for someone like Ichigo. After an explosion and a whirlwind, we finally get to see Ichigo’s bankai form: Tensa Zangetsu. Dressed like Zangetsu’s human form, Ichigo now wields a thin, black sword. Byakuya continues to underestimate Ichigo, so Ichigo appears right in front of him, holding a sword to the captain’s neck. Meanwhile, Sado, Ishida, Inoue, and Ganjuu have gotten close enough so that they can see and feel the power of the fight. Elsewhere in Soul Society, Hitsugaya and Matsumoto, trying to get to the bottom of all this, have reached the Central 46 Chambers, only to be barred from entering. Also, Hinamori is now healed and on the move. Back at the main fight, Byakuya notices that Ichigo is fast, but still thinks that it can’t be bankai, so he calls forth his petals to envelope Ichigo again. Ichigo dodges several times, and then appears right in front of Byakuya for a slash, but it’s blocked by more petals. Both of them notice that the petals are having trouble keeping up, so Byakuya increases their speed and Ichigo increases his. However, Ichigo is unable to dodge one of the waves, so instead he cuts down all of the petals and moves to Byakuya’s backside in a flash. The captain turns around in time to miss being hit in the back, and catches Ichigo’s blade in his hand. By this point, Byakuya has realized that Ichigo’s ban kai takes its power and compacts it so that Ichigo can move and attack quickly.

Summary:

Sado, Ishida, Inoue, and Ganjuu have finally gotten to the battlegrounds. They learn from Yachiru that Rukia was saved, but that Ichigo is still fighting for her, because, as Inoue says, she’s very important to him. At that fight, Byakuya calls on the true form of Senbonzakura, which turns the petals into thousands of swords. Byakuya takes one of them, and the two clash once again. Ichigo begins to notice that Byakuya has sped up, and Byakuya even starts to hit him, noting that he’s become slow. The captain then uses a combination of a sword stabbing Ichigo’s foot and a blast spell to paralyze Ichigo. He tells Ichigo that it’s not him getting faster; it’s Ichigo’s fatigue finally taking its toll. Byakuya raises his sword for the killing blow, and however much Ichigo tries to move he can’t. Ichigo’s desire to win overtakes him, and his hand catches the sword in mid-swing - Hollow Ichigo has taken over. The masked figure quickly changes the momentum of the battle, crushing Byakuya’s swords. He uses several black Getsugas to corner the captain, and then appears right behind Byakuya right before the two blasts hit so that Byakuya can’t dodge. Reeling from the hit, Byakuya has figured out that Ichigo has turned into a Hollow, but is then surprised when his opponent starts to rip off the mask. Ichigo has a brief inner fight while he struggles with the Hollow inside him, but he succeeds in taking control. Before they cross swords again, Ichigo asks Byakuya why he didn’t save Rukia. Byakuya promises to answer if Ichigo wins. The two then do their power-ups to put all of their energy into one final attack. When the smoke clears, Ichigo struggles to stay standing, and both have suffered severe wounds from the attack, but Ichigo’s sword managed to cut through Byakuya’s. To fulfill his promise, Byakuya explains that he allowed the execution to take place because the rules needed to be followed. Ichigo says that he would have fought those rules, a statement that make Byakuya realize how much Ichigo was fighting the rules of Soul Society. After Byakuya concedes the battle and leaves, Ichigo finally collapses, right onto Inoue. She, and all of his friends, have been quite worried and are glad that he’s alive. Meanwhile, at the Central 46 Chambers, Hitsugaya and Matsumoto are horrified to find everyone dead.

Summary: 

When we left off last time, Hitsugaya and Matsumoto had just entered the Central 46 Chambers. Much to their surprise, everyone is dead. Hitsugaya realizes from the dried blood that they were killed days ago, meaning that all of the recent orders have been fake. Izuru suddenly calls out to them from the doorway and then disappears. The two give chase until Izuru tells Hitsugaya that Hinamori already broke free and has been following them. The captain quickly turns around, leaving Mastumoto to continue the chase. As soon as he sees Hitsugaya gone, Izuru stops and draws his sword. Matsumoto parries all of his attacks, but Izuru explains that his zanpaktou’s special ability is to double the weight to whatever it hits, each time it hits. Her sword having suddenly gotten a lot heavier, Mastumoto releases her own zanpaktou, and the blade turns to ashes. Meanwhile, Hinamori also sees all of the bodies in the Central 46 chambers. Ichimaru appears behind her, and she follows him to the residential area, where he reintroduces her to an old friend: Captain Aizen. Hinamori sheds tears of joy as Aizen embraces her. But soon after he thanks her for being his subordinate, Aizen, with Hinamori still in his arms, impales her with his sword. Aizen and Ichimaru leave the dying girl on the floor, and walk out to find Hitsugaya, who has just arrived. The tenth division captain is shocked to see Aizen, but then realizes that Hinamori is inside. After seeing her body, Hitsugaya learns from Aizen that he and Ichimaru have been working together since the very beginning. When asked about betraying Hinamori, Aizen replies that someone who admires you is easy to control. Furious by now, Hitsugaya initiates ban kai, but his one attack fails, and Aizen deals him a fatal blow. Captain Unohana has also entered the scene by this point. She figures out that Aizen has been staging the entire thing, including his death. Aizen shows her that he didn’t use a doll for his corpse - it’s the power of his zanpaktou. Aizen explains that it allows him to completely hypnotize anyone after they’ve seen its release. He also notes that since the blind are immune to this effect, it means that Captain Tousen has been working under him this entire time. Speaking of which, Tousen has stopped Renji from running and has transported the two back to the Soukyouku, where Aizen and Ichimaru meet them after escaping from Unohana. Like everyone else, Renji is shocked to see the dead captain, and even more so when Aizen asks him to hand over Rukia.

Bleach episode 61

Aizen Stands! Horrible Ambitions

Summary: 

Fourth division captain Unohana instructs her VC Isane to tell all of the captains, vice-captains, and even Ichigo’s group about what just happened and what they learned from Aizen. After hearing her message, Ishida and Ichigo realizes that above all, Aizen wants to kill Rukia. Back at the Soukyouku, Renji is adamant about not giving up her up, so Aizen attacks and injures Renji’s arm. Their conversation causes Renji to understand how much Aizen was manipulating people. Renji releases Zabimaru on him, but Aizen blocks the first hit and catches the second one in his hand. After slicing through Zabimaru’s released form, Aizen tells Renji that he was always the problematic one, which is why Aizen had him placed away from the fifth and third divisions. When Aizen goes in for the kill, everyone is surprised when a black sword parries the attack – Zangetsu. 

After a brief bit of comedic catching up, the Ichigo and Renji turn to face Aizen. Renji uses the broken pieces of Zabimaru for a special attack that theoretically leaves an opening for Ichigo. However, when Ichigo closes in, Aizen stops Zangetsu with a single finger and counterattacks by almost cleaving Ichigo in half. He then finishes off Renji and takes Rukia. Ichigo struggles to get up, but can’t; Aizen tells him that it’s not possible for him to get back up and that his duty is over. Apparently Aizen predicted their every move and used Ichigo and company as pawns in a diversion from his own movements. The one thing Aizen guessed incorrectly is that Ichigo is working under Urahara. When he learns that Ichigo isn’t, Aizen goes on to explain his goal in all this: extracting a substance called “Hougyoku.” When he used to be a captain, Urahara researched and developed a way to hybrid Shinigami and Hollow, which allows the person to achieve new limits of power. Urahara realized how dangerous his research was, so he tried to destroy it. Failing that, he decided to hide it in Rukia through the gigai he provided her. It was a special gigai that weakened a shinigami’s spiritual power until it transformed the shinigami into a human. That way, he could hide the Hougyoku forever. Just as Aizen gets to the part in the story where he kills the Central 46, the large shadow of Captain Komamura appears behind him. Komamura’s sword comes down and creates a large explosion.

Summary:

Komamura remembers when he first met Tousen and when he was first introduced to then vice-captain Aizen. In the present, after Aizen stops his sword, Komamura initiates ban kai. However, it never completes as Aizen appears in front of him and uses a blast spell to incapacitate him. With that out of the way, Aizen continues on with his explanation: he killed the entire Central 46, but he did so as soon as he heard about Rukia being found. Then he used his zanpaktou’s power to create the illusion that things were normal in there - Ichimaru, Tousen, and he all took turns giving orders in place of them. Aizen had decided to use the execution and the Soukyouku to get to the Hougyoku inside Rukia. However, in case that plan failed, as it did, Aizen prepared a back-up plan. After digging through Urahara’s research, he found an extraction method. Aizen pulls out and uses a device that transforms his hand, and plunges it into Rukia chest. Fortunately for Rukia, the hole created by the procedure heals after Aizen extracts the Hougyoku. Aizen orders Ichimaru to kill Rukia, so Ichimaru shoots her. In an instant, Rukia is out of Aizen’s grip and in the arms of her brother, who took the hit from Ichimaru. Byakuya falls over soon after, and Aizen prepares to deal with this himself. That is, until Kuukaku and Jidanbou interrupt him, and then Yoruichi and Soi Fong appear out of nowhere, putting a sword at his throat. In fact, captains and vice-captains including Yamamoto, Kyouraku, Ukitake, Matsumoto, Hisagi, and Iba soon surround him. But Aizen has one more card up his sleeve. A light suddenly envelopes him, and a claw opens the sky to reveal numerous Menos Grande. As he is also engulfed in the light, Ichimaru turns around to say farewell and sorry to Matsumoto. Captain Commander Yamamoto tells them that it’s useless to try to penetrate the field, meaning that Aizen and company have effectively made their escape. Komamura suddenly bolts forward and asks Tousen where his justice is now. Tousen replies that whatever path he chooses is the path of justice. Aizen claims that he’ll now take his place in the heavens. His last words bid them goodbye, though he singles out Ichigo in particular for being an interesting human.

With the battle over, the fourth division squads rush in to treat all the injured. Captain Unohana arrives to see Inoue using an unknown healing technique on Ichigo. She herself goes to treat Byakuya, and then calls over Rukia so that her brother can tell her something. The sixth division captain explains that after his wife Hisana passed away, Rukia was adopted not because she looked like Hisana, but because she was Hisana’s sister. It was because of her dying request that he find and protect Rukia that he broke the rules and took her in. However, he swore that that would be the last time. When Rukia was sentenced to death, Byakuya had to decide on protecting her or following the rules, and it’s clear which choice he made. Because of that, Byakuya expresses his gratitude towards Ichigo, and apologizes to Rukia.

Summary
• After finding out what happened after Aizen left, some men were silenced by Captain Unohana. Ikkaku is having fighting matches and Ichigo shows up to challenge him, but the fight is interrupted because Captain Zaraki comes to fight Ichigo. Somewhere else, Captain Komamura visited the grave of Captain Tousen's friend vowing to Vice Captain Hisagi that he'll bring back Captain Tousen. Meanwhile, Vice Captain Matsumoto was still riled up about Ichimaru before Hitsugaya tells her Kira is there. Vice Captain Matsumoto forgives Kira. Hitsugaya then goes to visit unconscious Hinamori. During all this, Ishida remade Rukia's dress and gave it to Inuoe, but Rukia was no where to be found. Rukia was looking for Kuukaku and Gajunn to apologize for killing Kaien. Kuukaku forgives Rukia, but Rukia tells Ichigo she's staying in the Soul Society and never returning. Ichigo receives a substitute shinigami fighting license from Ukitake and then Ichigo and the group use the dangai to get back to the human world. Urahara is there to catch the group and formally apologize to Ichigo, but was reminded to apologize to Rukia, too. Ichigo is told by Ishida they will be enemies the next time they meet. Then Ichigo walks to the family clinic alone.

Summary
• Ichigo is back home and his family life returns to normal. Inoue almost tells Tatsuki about what all happened at the Soul Society. During his first class, Ichigo is being called for from outside by a whispering Renji. Renji is now in charge of Karakura City. During their conversation a hollow appears, but is taken care of easily. Inoue and Sado are still training. Inoue misses her brother, but is reassured that he will no longer be a hollow. Ichigo notices a gate outside. He is met outside by Renji, Sado, and Ishida just in time to see Inoue being pulled into a portal. Ichigo tries to attack the portal, but his attempts were moot.

Summary
• Commander Yamanoto gets together all of the remaining captains and talks to them about the efforts being made to find Aizen and the Hougyoku. In the real world, Ichigo asks Tatsuki about Inoue, but gathered no promising information. The group goes to Inoue's home just to receive a phone call from a girl saying she'll return Inoue if they win her game. They have to get the the park within three minutes, then the supermarket within three minutes, and then Inoue's home by 8:00pm. They get to Inoue's home to find a no-memory Inoue, but are startled when they find out she is actually Kurodo in disguise with his partners Nov and Ririn. Ichigo and Renji could not take on their new foes, so Sado is taken.

Summary
• Ichigo and Renji leave their bodies with Urahara and is accompanied by a backpack Kon and Ishida after receiving a call from Ririn. Ririn wants to play hide and seek for the freedom of Inoue and Sado, but asks the group to put their zanpaktou in unlabeled cases before hand. The group moves on through the next set of oddly arranged rooms while leaving a trail of string. The group soon finds out the entire maze is a Mobius circle. The group makes their way out of the maze by passing over an illusion. When they reach their destination they find a waiting Ririn, but are surprised by Nova. After Ishida knocks out Nova's modified soul (given back to her by Claude), Ririn and Nova leave after returning Inoue, Sado, and the group's zanpaktous. Ririn tells the group about the next game and how their school and classmates are involved before entering the gate.

Summary
• The group arrives back and find Ichigo's and Renji's bodies in the yard. Remembering Ririn's words, they soon realize they have to find out who the imposter Claude is pretending to be before everyone in their school disappears. Ichigo introduces Renji as his relative to his classmates. Ichigo begins to think Renji is the imposter and while Ichigo is trying to get Renji to take of his gigai Ririn takes Tastsuki. In the Soul Society, Ukitake stops the traffic between the worlds temporarily, but not before Soi Fong gets to the real world. Inoue realizes Tatsuki is gone and gets extremely upset unsure of who to trust. After her outburst the group starts point fingers at each other unsure of who the imposter is. When their classmates and teacher have all disappeared, Ririn offers to exchange Ichigo and group for their classmates and teacher. Sado begins to act strangely after seeing Youruichi and Soi Fong and the group realizes Sado is the imposter Claude. Ririn then announces the beginning of the final game.

Summary
• The group begins the final game against modified souls. A gate appears and swallows the group and Ririn then puts Chad into a hourglass while telling Ichigo he has five minutes to release him. Ichigo breaks the hourglass, but then teh group is told Kisuke Urahara set up the whole things as a training exercise and to inform the group Ishida no longer has Quincy powers. During the whole fiasco Yoruichi and Soi Fong investigate a group of humans who consume souls called the Bount. Ichigo and group are then surprised by a giant floating gate in the sky which sucks them in. Ririn and company have Sado hostage and tell Ichigo and Renji they have to get through Claude and Nova to get Sado back. During the big battle Ichigo sees Urahara's hat and realized Urahara has observing the whole fight. Urahara wants Ichigo to be able to use ban kai again before Aizen returns. Ririn then reassures the group their classmates are very much safe.

Summary
• Yoruichi and Soi Fong return to Urahara's to tell the group about the Bount and how they are consuming souls of still living humans. Urahara then partners up Ichigo, Inoue, and Sado with Ririn, Claude, and Nova for assistance with the matter. Ririn sense a Bount and tells Ichigo and after arriving they begin to battle against a female Bount and her fire beast (Doll). Ichigo's other comrades sense a different Bount and go a separate way, finding a male Bount. At Ichigo's fight he manages to strike down the fire beast, but is surprised when the beast reforms itself. He was more surprised by being saved by Rukia and her lightening bolt.
