Japanese voices are more suited than americans....

I don't speak japanese, so I have to read subtitles

and of course i think the americans are doing the best work they can do...

but the japanese voice actors really suit the various characters....

particularly, Rangiku Matsumoto, Shunsui kyoraku, and Aizen....

We're all in strung out shape, but stay frosty, and alert. We can't afford to let one of those bastards in here.

Eh, I've gotten used to the English voices for those three characters so I think they're fine, but everyone is entitled to their opinion naturally...

You also need to understand that because the animation is timed to the Japanese recordings, the English actors' performances are limited to that timing as well, so you don't get the best performancse out of them.  it isn't always due to the actors' skill.

i think Stephanie Sheh is the perfect voice for Orihime.

same goes for Johnny Yong Bosch for Ichigo, Michelle Ruff for Rukia, Wendee Lee for Yoruichi and lots of others. the only one i'm really really not happy about is Chad's voice actor.

For most people it usually comes down to which you hear first for what you prefer.

The ridiculously corny dialogue fantasy series tend to have is a lot more bearable when you don't understand the language too. This is especially true for attack names.

Most bleach VA's I think sound a lot like the Japanese VA's. I do have a problem with Hitsugaya's VA, but Matsumoto sounds fine to me. Still for the most part the lines were written for japanese not english. If you want direct translation then try watching old Speed Racer where they would finish the lines but still have mouth flaps so they would add random sounds.  The lines have to be changed to look nice and sound good in english. I can watch either, but I prefer to watch dubs with a few exceptions.

QFT

Stephanie Sheh as Orihime is nothing short of perfection.

yea definitely. this is the reason why dubbed is so hard for me to watch now. i dont have a problem with the cast, it's just the dialogue...

Yeah, they didn't need an adult to voice Shiro.  I wonder why they went with him, surely they could've found a tough sounding kid VA to use.

Or just an adult VA to do a kid voice.

They need to do this but with Orihime and Ichigo

Oh, characters shout out the other's names in shows ALLLLLL the time.  But, it's particularly annoying in Orihime's case.

Either way I think most of the voices are equal to the Japanese cast for bleach.

Everyone else here debating against your position already stated the perfect points.  Points so great that I won't attempt to top them.  Indeed, they are things I would say, and even some things I wish I had thought of, but now that I think about it, agree with 100%, nonetheless.

Instead, I'll add only this:

I disagree with you, and therefor you are an evil, horrible person! :smileytongue:

Seriously though, I like either version, but I prefer dub because there's no reading to distract me from onscreen action, and also my language is English.  Plus that stuff the other peeps said.

It's nice to know that somebody actually cared that I was gone, lol.  If you must know, it's because I got Skyward Sword for Christmas, and didn't beat it until late last Sunday night.  So now, I can go back to all my other hobbies that got neglected, like Anime/Manga and ASMB, etc. :smileywink:

Yeah, pretty much.

Did you finally make the comic?  When I got behind on the boards the time before this last one, I fell way behind on the Bleach Hooters thread.  I still haven't caught up with it.  Looks like I need to!  I'll look into that when I get the chance.

All that's been said has been said.  The OP's point and argument has already been completely, utterly destroyed and eviscerated by our other wonderful members.  No need for me to add on, as I mentioned.
