Okay I can't remember if this happened in the manga, but I saw it on this past Japanese episode, When Orihime is talking to Riruka (or whatever her name is) and ichigo is training with Ginjo Riruka tells Orihime about her parents and she says her brother took her away from them, and then he died so she lives a lone BUT a distant relative gives her money, they said it so it could be pretty much out there, I mean I didn't see why she had to say that because that shets not important, but non the less they said it NOW could it be that maybe that relative is not alive but yet is Unohana some how supporting her and Orihime doesn't know about it?

i dont remember if this was in the manga or just someone's written character analysis, but i think her aunt is who is taking care of her. not Unohana.

besides, healing isnt all there is to Orihime's powers...

Unohana has been a member of the SS for well over a hundred years. Other than old man Yamma she is the oldest member of the squads. So it wouldn't be possible for her to be related like that.  Orihime's mom was a prostitute and her dad was a drunk that would beat her and Sora. Sora took Orihime and raised her after he died Orihime was sent money from her aunt. The aunt I believe didn't want anything to do with orihime other than giving her money because of who her parents were. The japanese will usually see children of bad parents as bad as the parents themselves which explains why her aunt would give her money to stay away.

How would Unohana have even known about her before the Soul Society arc? Unless you're suggesting that this non-human entity that's hundreds of years old is somehow related to her?
