So can Zanpakto's stay in their human-like forms?

So now all Zanpakto's can stay in their human-like forms. To be honest I like it better this way but I have a feeling later on this will all change and they can no longer change from sword to human-like.

So what happens do they stay like this forever or go back to normal eventually?

Well, since it's all filler and not a part of the source material...

How can you say it never existed? It's a flash back story that is set in the past of the main story.

Those bount dolls are in this filler so now can you say the bounts don't exist in this current filler?

They go back to being swords. Honestly this side story isnt that good. The Aizen arc is amazing!!!! I am super sad the show is on hiatus in Japan the new story arc after Aizen was getting good. I wont give you to many spoilers but suffice it to say Ichigo hasnt even touched on his powers. He will blow your mind!

What do you mean what? Every filler they say they will tell a story of something that has happened in the past.

It's just episodes that happened somewhere in between the main story, I don't understand why people shrug them off as stories that don't exist as canon.

I agree, to an extent. but it has to be good.

I still think some of the best fights have been in the bount filler.

I think the main reason people don't like fillers is because nothing new is ever added to the main cast. you never see new moves unless they are filler specific.

Because they have no effect on the main story, and for all intents and purposes never happened. You can write fanfiction that takes place "somewhere between the main story" and it would be just as relevant as anime filler is.

SHINJI HIRAKO was first seen in the bount filler before he showed up in the main story. Would you care to explain that? Obviously these filler episodes do exist with the main story.

Shūhei Hisagi mentions in the main story that his sword looks like as if it was meant to reap lives. Then all of a sudden we moved onto a zanpakto filler which involves Shūhei Hisagi and for a second time they mention how his sword was meant to reap lives. Now then I haven't went ahead but I read how the almost last battle will involve Shūhei Hisagi and his zanpakto. Total coincience, right? This wouldn't be the first soul reaper to mention his sword either, this filler episode gives us more background information on swords.

For this filler arc yes they can.

What needs to be explained exactly? Shinji briefly appearing didn't have any effect on the main story. If that scene, and the rest of the Bounto arc, never took place literally nothing would of changed as far as the main story is concerned. That's my point - everything that happens in filler material is irrelevant down the line. Fights, character development, new characters...they are completely ignored.

As for Hisagi, I'm not really sure how restating something we already knew counts as new canon material. If you really want to stretch things you can treat miscellaneous information revealed in filler as canon, but none of the overarching story segments can really ever matter. Which is where I imagine most people's disdain for filler begins, it's all a waste of time. Even if there are a few minor character details to be learned, any sort of drama is kind of removed when you consider that no big changes can be made. Everything is returned to the status quo by the end.

I have only one question for you:

Have you ever read the manga and watched the anime, or have you only watched the anime?

this doesn't mean that fillers can't be enjoyed. I think hating fillers just to hate them is kind of silly, because by itself entertainment is just a waist of time.

I never said they couldn't be enjoyed, he asked why people didn't regard filler as canon/why they don't like them. I was explaining the common reasons. Pretty much everything is a waste of time to someone, but you know what I meant - don't try and twist things around. If someone is watching Bleach in order to follow the central plot, then filler is a waste of time in that specific pursuit.

Personally, I haven't watched the Bleach anime in several years, so I can't speak to the quality of the Bleach filler beyond the Bounto and a few individual episodes in the arrancar arc. I tend to prefer comedic/stand alone filler over serious story arcs though, as it takes an incredibly strong cast with amazing writing to get me interested in a long dramatic story arc I know can never go anywhere. Bleach doesn't have either of those things to me.

It also needs to be properly timed, not slammed in the middle of a story arc I actually care about. It's like watching a movie and then half way through an entirely different movie starts playing. One you have to sit through in order to see how the original movie ended. That's just a mood killer.

I can understand if a person only wants to see the main arc... how "non main arc filler" is "useless boring waste of time".

Some people don't like relaxing cause "waste of time".. I like relaxing though and the fillers are good fun.

I watch adult swim because of Bleach. Everyone in my school watches Bleach.

If you understand, how can you think that second sentence is a valid comparison at all? It'd work better if you said you liked being forced to relax when you actually wanted to be doing something else. Which is what someone has to do if they want to follow Bleach's main plot via the anime, either sit through a different unrelated thing or wait a few months for it to be over.

edit - Just in case it wasn't clear when I said it before, I never said the filler can't be fun or enjoyable. My original post was about why filler isn't regarded as canon.

You can't prove fillers aren't canon. They are stories in the past that weren't included in the main story chronologically to save time.

This is like saying a prequel to a video game is not canon, come on now.

I can play that game too - you can't prove fillers are canon, can you?

No, this is like saying a spin-off title using the same characters but with a completely different story is not canon. See Yakuza: Dead Souls for a good example. Fun title, but never happened in the actual Yakuza plot. Which is why Yakuza 5 will completely ignore it, just like the main story in Bleach ignores all of the things that happens in filler.
