well i could see why chizuru wouldn't have been sent to soul society.. but i'm still at a loss as to why tatsuki didn't go with them...

well tatsuki has only the minimalist of spirit power, plus she doesn't even know anything about SS.  She can see shinigami but i dunno if she knows what they are or just people in robes and may or may not have a minimal resistance to spirit energy.  but she's doesn't really have much she can do.  But as for Chizuru, maybe she should take a lot of cold showers to help her control herself

Although it's not Bleach, you could totally pull of Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist. You'd just need the glasses.
