Hello and welcome to the Bleach folder. We will be making some major changes in the coming weeks, including adding some new "wiki" threads. I'll post links to these new threads in this post once we have them ready. I'll add links to the wiki thread as we post them.
Wiki threads
This is how the wiki threads are going to work. There will be two groups of threads.
- Bleach Episode Index -- Because Bleach is such a big show this thread will make it easier for you to find the exact episode you're looking for.
- Bleach Episode Guide -- This is the place to go for more indepth descriptions of each episode the Episode Index will link to posts in this folder.
- Episode Guide Submission Thread -- This is where you all can submit your work on the episodes. We'll take your stuff and post it in the Guide, with propper attribution.
The next set of threads will be similar to the Episode Guides but will be concerned with the New Character Guide.
Recently removed floated threads
We'll be removing all the current floats in the meantime so here are links to those threads. You can refer to this post if you need these links or you can float these threads for yourself. We may decide in the future that one or two should be stuck at the top again. Of course, we will float new episode discussion threads each week.
Now for some basic info that I am borrowing from Nayru's General Action Discussion FAQ.
Don't post spoilers!!
I'm just gonna quote this directly from the Nayru's post:
A spoiler is a post or thread that gives out information that might spoil it for someone who hasn't yet seen that show. Examples of common spoilers are a major plot point or a character's death. If you simply must talk about spoilers, we ask that you mark them as such. If you are not sure if it is a spoiler or not, mark it anyway for the benefit of all the users who may read that post. Failure to do so may end up in the thread being locked, edited or deleted. If you post a spoiler with malicious intent, you may get banned. If you see someone posting spoilers, maliciously or not, please feel free to use the Report Abuse feature and a moderator will deal with it.
If the first post of a thread says no spoilers respect the wishes of the thread author and do not post any spoilers in that thread, marked or unmarked.
How do I mark spoilers?
To completely hide your spoiler for both skins do the following:
Click on the little hand in the toolbar and you will get some text that looks something like this: spoiler] [/spoiler. Type between the brackets to make a spoiler box that looks like this:
Spoiler
Always hide your spoilers here.
Always hide your spoilers here.
How do I post a new thread?
First look to see if there is already a thread about your topic of interest and join in. Duplicate threads are often locked or deleted. If there isn't one you can join feel free to start a new one. Be aware that new members who are still ranked SwimNub can not post new threads until they have been members for 48 hours or more.
- In the upper left hand corner of the page click on "New Message"
- Type the topic of your thread in the white space under "Subject"
- Type your message in the big black text box.
- You can enhance your message by using the features in the toolbar.
- If you want to see what the message looks like before you submit it click on "Preview" above the toolbar on the left.
- If there is an HTML problem with your post the editor will try to fix it and will notify you. Check the message again to make sure it looks they way you want it to. Make changes if needed.
- When you're done click on the "Post" button under the text box to the right.
- After your thread appears try to keep an eye on it and keep it from getting too far off-topic. Threads that are not on topic run the risk of being locked or even deleted by a mod.
What about Episode Discussion threads?
Post your episode discussion thread the day before the premiere airs. Threads posted before midnight Eastern time will be locked. If more than one thread is posted the earliest one will usually be floated and the others locked, however there is no guarantee.
Why was my thread locked, deleted or moved?
- Repeat threads. Be sure to search for your topic before making your thread.
- Chatting. Remember this is a message board not a chat room.
- Thread topic is a spoiler. Think before you post. If you are going to talk about something spoilerish in your thread make sure you don't give it away in the subject area. If your thread will have spoilers mark it as a spoiler thread.
- Trolling or Flaming. Be nice. You can disagree and debate without calling people names or threatening them.
- Thread is not about Bleach.
- Personal information. Posting personal information is against board rules and will result in a warning or possible ban.
- Illicit picture links. Follow the TOS when posting links to pictures
- Do not discuss where to illegally view/download/torrent fansubs/manga scanlations.
