Bumps

The bumps, in whatever form they may take, are a hallmark of Adult Swim programming.  They're one of the elements that makes it unique and makes for more of a bonding with its fanbase.

The bumps change.

Late last year, they started to de-emphasize the "dear adult swim" type stuff in favor of what I think is actually a saner and more casual approach, which is simply to read the boards in general and pick out stuff people are saying to respond to, rather than create a kind of "me! me! pick me!" type environment by having those "dear adult swim" type threads.

In lieu of that sort of thing, I searched and searched for a thread that was just a simple bump discussion thread in general (one that didn't emphasize viewer bumps) to no avail, so I'm making this one.

Discuss the bumps here.  All the bumps.  the visual bumps, the text bumps, old bumps, new bumps, viewer bumps, etc.  what you like, what you don't like, what they make you think of, etc.

do not post "dear adult swim" style bump suggestions in this thread.

It is acceptable, in the natural course of discussion, to present your own ideas about where the bumps should go, or where you think they may progress, and what you think the bumpmaesters should do and things like that.  But this is not a bumpwhore type thread, so don't try to get on TV by posting in this thread.

Any idea when we'll see Services Offers, Adultswim 4000, He Work of Strawboard Canister and the two No Loitering bumps available for download as wallpapers?

Well, I was heart-broken when the thursday viewer bump nights were cancelled.

...and now all we get is like 2 or 3 measly viewer bumps a week.

I know Assprod and BMaestro3000 are busy guys....but....come on..........pfeh.

But, anway, I guess I should be thankful for even those 2 or 3 bumps a week.  No other networks do that.  [as] still rules.

Im glad they still have the bumps, it really adds a unique personal friendly kinda feeling.

Its like Im really relaxed and comfortable at home when watching.

I think the bumps are great marketing. It draws people to the online community side, from which popular programming is considered and then aired. Keeps the flow of public opinion current instead of becoming stagnant and obsolete like SO many other message boards and communities.

Schedule Bump change just basically mentioned that:
Inuyasha premieres would be Tuesdays @ 12:30am
Samurai Champloo premieres would be Wednesdays @ 12:30am
Neon Genesis Evangelion premieres would be Thursdays @ 12:30am
Fullmetal Alchemist premieres would be Saturdays @ 12:00am.

I only saw it air twice.  But I don't have the ability to see the whole block. 

But, I'm sure you're heading somewhere with this.
It's been the major arguement for the past 2 months now.
