CARTOON PLANET

I said this in another post, but I'd REALLY love to see Cartoon Planet either added to the Adult Swim lineup or released on DVD.

Anybody agree with me on this?

Yeah seriously, I'd not only want to see the reruns, I'd kill for some new episodes. I loved Cartoon Planet way more than C2C.

Cartoon Planet? You mean like regular Cartoon Network shows right?

Nah, I don't think that'd appeal to all that many people. Just a little too kiddie.

No, he's talking about that really goofy Space Ghost show that came before Coast to Coast. I know you have to remember it, it was just like Coast to Coast, except there were no interviewed guests.

CARTOON PLANET PLEASE :(

Cartoon Planet is where it all started (1994!)! It's a shame that it hasn't seen the light of day since 1999 I believe.
Sure, I love the stuff on AS now, but I just feel like it's totally missing the roots of one of the greatest shows of all time.  When SGC2C came along, I really wasn't that interested.  It was amusing, but it just didn't hit me like CP.  C'mon, Andy Merrill is THE man when it comes to Brak. :smileyhappy:
Seeing this come back on CN or coming out on DVD or ANYTHING would make my life complete.  I'm not alone in this obviously, as I see here on the forums and from my friends.  I still own the CD's that were released - "Surf & Turf" is pure gold. :smileyvery-happy:
The Brak Show is also sort of a justice for Brak and his hilarity.. but again, it's just NOT CP!
Seeing Cartoon Planet make it's rise once again would surely satisfy many fans.  I'd grab the DVD or watch it any day in a heartbeat.

Oh goodness that's a horrible idea!  I mean, I respect your like for the show..but personally I couldn't stand it.  And besides..that is a show directed towards an audience of children..which is not recommended to suggest.

Dude, sgc2c was the adult cartoon..and cp was the children cartoon.  Thus why they showed cp in the morning, and sg late at night.  I mean, why on earth would they have Space Ghost and Zorak do TWO shows for just one audience??? Come on, dude! And cp would show clips of cartoons and answer CHILDREN'S fan mail.  CHILDREN hint hint.

hey? guess what? cp came on the same time as sgc2c. get your facts straight. therefore no one has any real reason to say this movie doesn't belong on [as]. make new episodes with more adult-oriented material (kind of like what they did w/ sgc2c when it moved to [as].

SIGH..you're not getting what I'm laying out here, man.  I know my facts.  I remember both cartoons vividly.  I'm just going to stop here bc its lame to argue about something of no significance what so ever.

I don't know if anyone has thought of his already or said this already, but I think it would be so awesome to live on a Cartoon Planet. It would be amazing. All day long I could watch a cartoon, and maybe instead of faces all the aliens would just have TV screens for faces that are showing cartoons. Sort of like Meshes of the Afternoon, but a TV screen instead of a mirror! COOL. Also, what would we eat on the planet? CARTOONS??????!1 What would they even taste like?!1 AND DON'T SAY THEY TASTE LIKE CHICKEN! I would hide on the cartoon bushes or go swimming in the swimming pool, but guess what the pool is made out of...THAT'S RIGHT! CARTOONS!!!!!1

I don't believe the show was aimed for children as some of you suggest. The show was aimed towards people that had a more open-minded sense of humor. More of a random taste. Some people liked it, and some didn't. But I personally did - and I think it would do just fine on AS.
Again I state, AS probably wouldn't even be around if it weren't for Cartoon Planet hitting the scene. :smileywink: So love your roots, kiddies.
