I practice what I preach so that doesn't work and seriously what are you 5? Get some material that didn't come from the playground.
To practice what one preaches you must do what you implore others to do.
Case in point when someone insults you, you tell them insults accomplish nothing. However you turn around an insult other people, Adult Swim's staff, the general populace, etc. So you don't practice what you preach. You're a hypocrite. That's what I meant. You can dish it out but you can't take it. So either stop telling people they shouldn't insult you or stop insulting other people.
Anyway, Case Closed is an awesome show. I'd love to see it again.

They still own the rights they just don't intend to buy more episodes at this time.
You have to understand they poured a lot into Detective Conan's release here and it didn't pan out favorably. It's one of the only series that they did not continue and that's a shame but when a big series like that doesn't sell it's far too costly to keep dubbing more of it.

A lot of companies are yes, probably not many anime companies though seeing as they specialize in a niche market that they want to keep happy.
You can't honestly think it's a reasonable request for FUNimation to dub all 500+ episodes of Detective Conan when the close to 200 they've dubbed did not prove successful. Though part of that I blame on Adult Swim for tossing it aside too quickly but DVD sales didn't make up for that either so unfortunately there just isn't a large enough audience for that massive show.
I don't understand why TMS and FUNimation haven't started simulcasting the Japanese broadcast though. That would probably do decently enough.

You couldn't be more wrong.
A far greater portion of anime fans prefer to watch anime in Japanese with English subtitles. Some, like yourself prefer dubs and others will watch either way as long as both versions are enjoyable to them but the largest portion of anime fans who know that they're watching anime (ie, not just kids watching Pokemon who don't know where it comes from) would favor the Japanese audio over an English dub.
That's why I suggest FUNimation and TMS do a simulcast of Conan. One of the biggest obstacles the anime industy has here is the turn-around time between the Japanese broadcast and when it's available legally in America. Simulcasts deal with that issue the best way possible. It's done wonders for One Piece and Naruto Shippuden I'd have to imagine Conan would at least do decently.

So because one person who doesn't provide any financial support wants it dubbed, they should pay the fortune it would cost to license and dub 500 episodes and 15 movies, and then give them to you for free? You don't have to be a greedy asshole to pass on that deal.

A company stopped spending money on a project that wasn't paying off. That's not a wrong choice. They're a business, not some kind of anime dubbing charity. If they decided to dub the rest of Case Closed, there would be other series that they wouldn't be able to dub because of the money and resources it would tie up.
Let me tell you a story. I love to bake, an occasionally my friends and family will ask me to bake them something for a bake sale at work or a gift for someone's birthday or something like that. Sometimes they'll give me a couple bucks for it, but it's rare. So I have to pay out of my own pocket for whatever ingredients I need, and set aside an hour or more of a day off from work to bake. I've had to turn down plenty of requests lately because when it comes down to it, it's just not worth the hassle. It doesn't mean I hate baking or want to upset people.

Let me put this to you another way.
They probably regret that nobody bought Case Closed.
They probably regret that it didn't do well on Adult Swim.
But if it was costing them money and not making it back then they would have no regrets about not purchasing more of it.
They are probably very disappointed it didn't work out but they have since moved on.
No anime company ever thinks about an unsuccessful series from their past catelog after they drop it and says "we should have stuck wtih that one, it might have worked eventually". If a show doesn't work in several years when it was given a proper release then it simply is never going to sell.
You don't seem to understand that a show that does not sell is not worth continuing. You refuse to accept that ugly side of the business whether it comes to cartoons, video games or whatever else. Companies can't afford to push a flop on buyers who don't want it. Why should they put their livelihood on the line just because you liked a show that doesn't sell well for them? Why should they do anything like that for you when you'd repay them by pirating what you asked for?
This is an industry where you have to put your money where your mouth is or just be happy for what they give you for free but somebody has to pay for these shows and if they don't sell then they're not going to continue to be available here.
